Hummer Babies

Hi Everybody:

We just got too lonesome and had to get back to Bloggerville!  We have had a couple of repairs on the computer and while its Better, its not the best!  We will just keep chuffing along with it and see what happens.

A friend sent us this beautiful little photo essay about the birth of hummingbirds, if you haven't seen it, I bet you will love it.  Keep in mind the egg is smaller than a tic tac and a quarter fits the opening of the nest!

Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all.

A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. It took 24 days from birth to flight. Because you'll probably never in your lifetime see this again, enjoy; and please share.  You will find these pictures here!

We have turned comments back on, so lets hear from you.  I have been reading blogs and doing a few comments, and  we would love to hear from you.

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella and Zkhat

Those are amazing pictures. I've always wanted to find one of their nests, but no luck so far. I did see a chick at a feeder with it's mom one time.
