Endless Questions???

Good morning, its Stella here.  Yes, I feel just a little owly today.  I just realized how many questions my Mom asks me everyday.  EVERYDAY! SAME QUESTIONS!

My Mom gets up early and I sleep in.  As soon as she gets up, I leave my bed on the floor and hop into hers.  When I hear her fixing breakfast, I go out into the kitchen. She says "Good Morning, Stella, did you have good sleeps?"   C'mon, what dog DOESN'T have good sleeps, most of the day and all night long.  Its what we do best!  Then she says, "Are you hungry, Stella?  Want some breakfast?"  Since I only get two cups of kibble a day, of course I am hungry, thats all I am is hungry.  So she fixes my meager rations for breakfast. (Then I wait for 5 pm to come and I get another cup, whoopee!).  Then she says, " Stella, do you want to go walkies this morning?"    Uhhh, yes, I do just happen to need to go  outside and some walkies would be fine.  So we get ready to go, and at the end of the driveway she says, "What way do you want to go?  North or South?"  I give the leash a tug in any direction, and just want to start Moving!  So, she then says, "You are pulling me South, Stella, does that mean you want to go to the lake this morning? "  No, it means I don't care which way we go!  Then she says, "Stella, I can't go all the way to the lake today, but we will take a nice walk anyway."  Sounds like a plan to me, Mom!  So I take her past the garage where the Ancient Collie lives, and he staggers out on his tired old legs, and Mom says "Want to stop and say hello to Old Collie?"  My answer here is no, and I try to keep moving, but Old Collie is one of my Mom's favorites so she scratches his old head for him and asks him about 20 questions.  I don't hear any answers coming from him, but keep pulling and presto!  we are moving!

Uhhh, you can probably see the direction this day (and everyday) takes.  We get home and she says, "Want a treat, Stella?  How about a cookie?"  OK, that sounds fine, two sounds even better.  So Mom goes on about her business, (knitting right now) and I go curl up for a nice nap to have dreams of running loose in a big field with a bunch of other dogs, just having fun.  Whoops, that doesn't last long!  The door bell rings and Mom won't hear that, so I will go get her.  Its a neighbor to invite her to go shopping with her.  Does any one say at this point "Stella, want to come along??"  Oh, C'mon, you know the answer to that one, don't you?

I'm back to bed, Ali Z is snoozing, and the shoppers are gone.  Its nice and peaceful here right now, and NOBODY is Asking Me Questions!  This should be good for a couple of hours, anyway!

Do your people ask you questions?

Kisses,
Stella

HI Stella
Well your Mom sounds lovely (as if we didn't know that already). Asking you all those nice questions. I can tell you it's not like that at all here. It's 'Bertie do this', 'Bertie, DON'T DO THAT', 'Bertie NO!, 'Down! Bertie', 'Oh not AGAIN Bertie'.
Yes I think you are very lucky indeed.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.

Stella, please have a little patience with us 2-leggers. We can't just sniff someone's bum and get all the answers we need.

Oh Stella! I understand totally - if we hoomans could speak doggie, we would; then we'd stop asking you questions that sound silly! Your meager rations are why you look so pawesome, girl! And it sounds like you took Mom for a cool walkie - good girl! And you are wonderful to get your Mom's attention about the doorbell - very impressive!

Stella, I really understand very much! My mom constantly runs her mouth asking me the same old questions everyday. I'm like you...I dream of running in a field with lots of other dogs...free...at least for awhile that is!!! You made mom laugh....I guess because this post reminds her of herself!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

We like to ask the questions. We sit, stare at the hu-dad, cock our heads and make him wonder what we are wondering. Very effective.

P.S. - Our word of the day is ohoot. What a hoot.

That is a very funny post Stella. I ask my dogs all sorts of questions, and I never realized that my questions bothered them (or humored them) so much!

Sometimes, when I let the dogs choose our hiking route, we end up in some crazy places, like stuck in 3' of snow (up to my waist) last winter. That one was because I asked K which way she wanted to go!

You have a great day! Enjoy those treats!

Haha! Stella, you always crack me up! You've caught me though. I'm guilty of the thousand questions. You know what's even worse? I like asking Kona questions just because she always tilts her head to the side when I ask her something. It's so cute, I can't help but ask her another one. I'll try to use some restrain next time!

Hi Stella! We get a bunch of questions from our mom too, but nowhere near as many as you do - it must be a doggie thing! We understand about being happy to be back in bed and have no more questions for a while - it is a nice break!

Oh, can you tell Ali Z that we have redone the badges at the Naughty Kitty Club - she can come by to pick her's up (it is in the sidebar). And she can keep her old one too of course!!

Have a great weekend!!

Stella, Mom just wants to make sure you know she cares. She know you care so much for her.. You are such a great pup for keeping Mom aware.. Mom talks to the deaf dogs all the time and they never hear like you talking to your Mom.. Mom says the Red's can read lips just like your Mom does...
Yepper the Toph is kind of spoiled after being in Texas. He needs to toughen up for the Winter.. You sure have some tough mailmen..
Mom's brother used to ride he motorcycle in Wisconsin anytime the weather was 30 degrees and above...

So. Stella. Just so we are well informed. Does your moma ask Ali Z all those dozens of questions, too? Or it everything simply understood between the two of them?

Just wondering. Just in case.

I don't get many questions....except how about a game of football. Other than that Beth just talks and talks to me all day. I do like it when she tells me she loves me so much and gives me a big hug....that's my favorite part of each day! I am happy you are getting some peace and quiet....rest well, my friend.

I always answer my mum when she asks me questions and then she says, "and then what happened?". It's like she doesn't understand a word I say.

Yuh, I get the same idiotic queries all the time, "do you want a cookie? walkies? action adventure?" Duh. One has to wonder who really invented the internets because it appears humans are not capable.

Hi Stella, yes our mum rattles on too with all those silly questions!
Same thing......day after day.....!
We liked your pic today, you reminded us so much of Marvin!
Just the way you were looking intently.
Sorry we are so late - we are reliant on our human help and it is sadly lacking at the moment.

Hello Stella,

Since we've never met, we thought we'd come say hi before the field trip. We scrolled through some of your posts -- and then found this one where you talk about your mom's asking so many questions. Well your mom and ours must be related. It's the same thing every morning: Good morning, Jakey. Did you sleep well? Later, Jake, sit. Do you want breakfast? Are you hungry? And so it goes. But the clincher is this one -- whenever they don't know the answer to something, mom -- or dogdad -- looks at me and asks, What do you think, Jake? And like the NewYorker cartoon -- all I can say is Woof!!!

Looking forward to seeing you on the trip.

Wirey woofs,

Jake and Just Harry
