Hi Stella SO So lovely to hear from you. Wow aren't those birdies tiny! We don't have hummingbirds in the UK - our smallest bird is a wren, I think. I do hope your naughty computer keeps on behaving itself, and that you are enjoying some cooler weather. Toodle pip! Bertie.
Stella! Can you believe some doggies did not recognize your pretty face in the labracontest? As if! Hey, I know all about humans and their busy brains. Just nice to know that you are OK.
Hi Stella, what a nice post. The photo essay reminded Mom of the times when she had two canaries and they mated. Her children were young then and they all enjoyed following the daily progress of the little ones. Thanks for sharing.
It's great to have you back again. Keep chugging along...
I loved the hummingbird egg/baby photos. Wow!!!! I found a nest one year after the babies left. I thought that it might be used again the next year but it was blown down in the winter. I've never found another (yet) to watch during breeding season. Maybe someday...
Thanks for sharing such a fun and interesting story.
Hi Stella and Jo! Welcome back!!! I love the baby bird pictures..they are so special! So tiny! We used to have dove nests on the porch every year and I loved watching them hatch and grow and mom and dad would teach them how to walk and fly. Thanks for sharing! Hummmingbirds are so itsy and so cute! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Hi Stella, it is nice to see you back in blogland. We know how annoying these computers are but they are the only way we can all talk to each other. We will watch the video about the hummingbirds - we don't have them. love and kisses Martha and Bailey xxx

Hi Laurie: I am glad you are still laughing at the picture, I know you wouldn't be trolling for comments about The Book.
Laurie, I started reading last night and just love it. I should start out with Thanks for the Memories, because it brought up so many things to my mind. Like the lady who lived in the apartment next to us who was a cook for the Congdons. Her name was Mrs. Bergman and she spoke with a heavy Scandinavian accent but was wonderful. By the way we were there from 1966 to 1973. Raising a healthy little boy gave me little time to be interested in the local paper, but your descriptions of life at the news desk was just perfect.
I had planned an accompanying story to the "shocking" picture, about you meeting a Latvian sailor at the Jupiter Store on Sunday afternoon and running off with him, but I just couldn't do it.
I am in Russia with you now, which is a place I want very much to go to,so its all good, Laurie, all good.
You need to get busy and read that so we know what is really on that page. he he Guess it is really getting cooler in Minnesota. Toph says he is already wearing a jacket in Wisconsin...

We love our library too. The only problem is that there's never any place shady to park so the pups can't come with me when I go.
I love the photo of the "shocking" part!!!!
My god! I've read that book. somehow i missed the shocking part!

This comment deal is a great puzzlement to me too! Maybe the next post will have its own comments.
Glad you liked it anyway.

My mum is actually a librarian by schooling so she always loves a good library story.
The book does look good! That's a great picture of the women looking shocked!
Enjoy your weekend!
