My main enemy!

Hi Pups and Kitties: Maybe some of you know exactly what it is! Yeah, its the Pin Brush!

I used to could go sit by my Mom when she was at the 'puter or when she was knitting, or whatever, sit by her and get some nice pets and hugs.

But now when I do that, I get the Pin Brush! She never misses a chance to brush me and get some of my loose fur out. Well, sure, I am shedding a little, and she says ALLLL she does these days is brush me and vacuum the floor where my fuzz just falls.

I tell her, look, this is just me, I am a long haired dog, and the time of the year is right for this to happen. Don't fight it! But she just sighs, gets the brush out and has a go at me.

We will both be glad for winter to come and I can have my fur and she can have her time to spend as she wishes. My wishes are that she would lose the pin brush. Say, maybe I could do that for her, just find the waste basket and drop it in. Might work, what you say?

Anyone else agree with me about the pin brush as enemy?

Have a good one today!

Kisses,
Stella

We are on your side, Stella, we don't like the pin brush OR the comb. Mom uses the pin brush mostly on TD and the comb on Mr. Phantom. Seems to e a daily activity here too. Do you have to endure plucking too? That is almost as bad.

Sorry darling Stella but I love my pin brush. Except when Momma wants to brush my butt. I try to talk her into brushing my front again.

Brice (who is in need a good brushing)

Hey there, Stella

mmm...brushing...we rather enjoy our brushes, but we can understand your dilemma. We think it's time to convert that brush into a chew-toy?
Lots of love and licks to your Mom

Oh poor Stella - we dont have a pin brush.
We have a furminator cos we are both shedding a lot too.
We actually both like it! We feel nice after it and its kind of relaxing - Bailey falls asleep.
We are not sure whether you would like a furminator and some breeds cant use them - roll on the winter.....

Dearest Stella, that pin brush looks quite horrid. But I think I have the solution to your problem. Are you, I wonder, a dog that digs? Because that brush looks eminently buriable. I do however understand that not all dogs are into excavation, and if you would like, I would happily volunteer my services and can guarantee to create a nice big hole for you. (I find that the part of the garden where your humans grow the prettiest flowers are usually the best place to start..)
Cheers, H.

Totally! We have a comb too, which Mom prefers, but I do not like it. (Unless she's brushing my tummy.)

I don't like to be brushed either.

I suggest chewing it up before you put it in the bin. Things in the bin can be retrieved you know.

Mixed reactions here. Some love it, some hate it. Some are like Brice - brush the top half and its cool - get near the rear - watch out.

But we don't have a pin brush. Lots of others, but not a pin.

We've never seen a brush like that! We have very short hair. Mama uses a glove on us. Sorry

That pin brush looks pretty scary, I don't blame you fur not liking it, Stella. It makes me glad I'm a short haired dog wiff a nekkid belly, but I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune once the snow flies, BOL!

I sympathize with you, Stella. My mom is ALWAYS attacking me with her torture "grooming" tools. She uses the pin brush on me daily just to keep my hair neat and to check for matts, but her torture kit also includes a fine toothed comb, a stripping tool, and a shedding rake. It's terrible.

Tagpi is always getting attacked by the FURminator and the shedding rake, because he sheds a lot.

Stella! Our old friend! How are ya? Yes, it's us....got our visitin rights back again....been good doggies we has!
So ummm.....we thought that winter time was your enemy, not summer?!? What about all that deep snow when you couldn't get out to play and the snow thief never came?
Hey, wedon't mind the pin brush, quite relaxing really, but then, we are short-haired so it never tugs.....and this is coming from dogs who let their mum vacuum them!
Ahhh, we really missed visiting you....and all our other friends....but we're all fixed up now, thank doGness!
See you soon :D :D

Pee-ess.....our Mum says to tell yours that the reason Cawdor Castle sounds familar might be if she is a Shakespeare fan? It features in MacBeth.

Our vote is for the Zoom Groom.
Hero sheds A LOT, but his fur is really short, can't say for sure how well it works on longer haired dogs. We use it at the dog park all the time (better to leave all that hair there-lol). And have had several friends buy one after seeing how well it works! (best of all it is rubber so kinder on thin skinned dogs.)
