Its Me, Ali Z!

Hello all you Kitties and Pups! Its Tuesday so its my day to paw this message to you. We have a lot to talk about today so we will get started!
We have some questions to answer, but first I want to tell you about what my Mom and I did last night. She has been looking at a blog called
Raffingora and while she liked what she read, she felt she was missing part of the story. So we sat and looked at everything from the very beginning. A beautiful big dog named Musole tells the stories, about two small lion cubs that needed to be hand raised and other stories of their life in Africa. We found this on Max's blog and it is most beautiful. If you have not been there, click on the name above and plan to spend some time, reading back from the very first post! You won't regret it and we bet you will love this blog as much as we do.
Questions! Last week Hamish, from Aberdeen, Scotland (he is a most special friend of Stella's).
He wrote: Well, I have the opposite problem to Dory. (Dory had a cat on her walk she wanted to play with but the cat ran away.) There is this cat we always meet on my morning walk and she always wants to play. I have to take evasive action, because I find cats scary, but she persists.
Any ideas on how to get my message across? Hamish
Certainly, Hamish! You should try very hard to get over your fear of cats. If she is approaching you, she has determined that you won't hurt her and that you are a good fellow. Perhaps you could just stop and talk with her for a very short while, tell her you don't have time for a long chat in the morning and then be on your way. She will probably be happy with that.
Let us know if this works, Hamish, and thank you for writing.
Cloud the Wonder Dog, who thought I was trying to hypnotize him with my eyes! Really, Cloud, that is not the kind of thing I do here. Perhaps it was a case of self-hypnosis and you just Thought it was me. Thanks for writing and heh, heh, write again!
Our very dear friend Huffle, who had been away for a few days said "Those dogs are funny, aren't they?" Oh, I should say so, Huffle, they are most "funny" or some other definition of funny! Have you found your parsley pot yet, Huffle?
A nice note from the bassetts, Martha and Bailey, who said "We like cats and love seeing them on the blogs!" That is very nice to hear, Martha and Bailey, and I thank you. Please write again!
Thanks to all who wrote me last week and I am very grateful for your questions.
Meow, meow,
Ali Zophia

Hi Ali Z, we will check out some of those blogs although of course we know some of them already!
We think some dogs are a bit wary of kitty cats but we think you are doing some very good work.
Keep it up and you will find lots of doggies out here making friends with you.
love you lots
Martha & Bailey xxxx

So many GREAT blogs-so little time. As you know, I am sporadic at best at keeping up with everybody else's blogs while trying to post on my own. Thanks for stopping by so often and leaving a comment, Stella. It's great Ali Z that you have taken the time to read and advertise for all these blogs that I'm sure are GREAT too, because I trust your judgment. ;0=)

To Stella: your comment yesterday about checking into my future in-laws mental stability was good advice indeed. I'm thinkin' that not all family members are wired correctly, if you know what I mean. Alas, love prevails and I will endure the consequences of my choice. Thanks for your concern though.

Thanks for all the answers, Ali Z. That sounds like a very interesting blog. Mom will bookmark it and read it when she has time to start at the beginning.

Hi Ali Z,

You know, Stella often leaves comments on my blog that portray her as a bit of a goody four paws. Is she really as angelic and well-behaved as she likes to think she is?

Hi Ali Z
Well thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. I guess it's sound advice, as you seem a good sort, although I am still not sure I will ever quite trust a cat (remembering the bloody nose incident nearly ten years ago now...)
Cheers, H.

Miss Ali Z,
I will close my eyes so I don't have to look at your hypnotic picture while I ask dis question:

Why are cats so hard to get along wiff???
As you know, I live wiff a cat who is also The Queen of the Universe. She has great contempt for every living thing. Except sometimes mom. But even then she will sometimes just sit there and give mom the evil eye just because she can. Why are you guys like that? Why can't you be friendly all the time like dogs???

Sincerely,
Cloud the Friendly

Furry beasts are funny. Funny in the brain, in that they don't have any brains.
