Workin' Wednesday!

After getting two solid months of rain, the grass grows faster, its greener, the trees grow faster and the leaves are greener. The weeds are unbelievable! It is all just a lot to manage!

Here am I under the lilac bushes looking for tennis balls on Mom's orders. She says it would be nice if I could learn to run the mower, but unfortunately, its that thumb deal again.
After we finished mowing Mom went out to Wally World with a friend and I took a nap.
We hope that you are having a nice day!
Kisses,
Stella

I read somewhere that you can buy robot mowers these days that need neither humans nor dogs to operate them. I wish Gail would get one. All those hours she spends mowing the lawn could be so much more usefully spent taking me for walks!
Did you find any tennis balls?
Maybe you've been watching Wimbledon? Us Scottish dogs are very excited about Andy Murray!
Cheers, H.

Boy, Stella, you really have to keep an eye out for those tennis balls! Our momma ran one over once and it made a great, big noise just before it blew into smithereens!☺

Did you find any tennis balls? Maybe Mom should have gotten you some new ones at Wally World. Our grass got cut today too, but it is all burning out with the hot sun.

Tennis balls? Did you say tennis balls? I'd be happy to lend my services hunting for those. But I'm too short to push a lawnmower. And I'm guessing it's much too much work. I'd rather play. With you. And with tennis balls.

Jake (Fergs doesn't appreciate balls yet. We could have them all to ourselves.)

Our momma has thumbs but she doesn't mow. She has to keep them safe so that she can use the can opener for us.

seems like all we wait for is a few nice days--between the rain and the snow it just doesn't seem fair!

You need a riding mower Stella - no thumbs required and you can see all of the tennis balls from your vantage point. And squirrels disappear in a hurry!

We could use some of that rain out here in California -- can you tell the clouds to head this way?

I think the "thumb deal" is just an excuse you dogs have settled upon, Stella. Though if it means not having to mow my lawn, I'd consider chopping off both of mine!

Steve, Kat, & Wilbur said...

You don't need to run the mower! All you have to do is a combination of digging and trampling. Dig up all the grass and trample down all the weeds.

At least you get to be outside when the lawn mower machine is working. I get locked up because I always run in front of it yelling at Master to get off.

I'm usually not a fan of rainy days, but I think we're in need of some where I live. All my grass is dry and yellow and not so much fun to roll around in. Perhaps you can offer to help maintain your yard by eating some grass? That's how I pitch in at my house.
