I DID A BAD!

Do you want to know what I did? If I tell you I don't want any scoldeds about it because my Mom already took care of that,OK?
Today we had visitors and one of them held the door open and I thought he wanted me to go outside, so I did! It wasn't my fenced in backyard, but the driveway side, so I just thought I would run a little. I ran up the block as fast as I could go, and my Mom called me, so I turned around and runned back, but I Couldn't Stop when I got to her, so I kept going. It was sooo much fun. So Mom stayed after me, but I keep on running at a high speed.
I met some peoples, and a very little dog, but I didn't stop to talk, I kept right on going. Then I crost the street, and ran back toward home, and there was Mom and she called me, so I hurried to her. We talked about how furry dangerous this is with cars and peoples around, but it is also furry much fun and feels good on the legs.
I heard her telling our visitors that I am just a young dog and need some good exercise, not just the walkies we do, so she SAID to them she didn't blame me for wanted to get a good run. But she made me promise not to do it again and she would try to find a place where I can run LOOSE. Like the Scoddish Beagles!
Whooo, so it was bad for me to do, but then why does it feel sooo good!
Kisses,
Stella

You so reminded Momma of Tasha who thought it was so much fun to run out the front door. The only way they could get her to come home was bribing with lots of treats. Then they'd have a "discussion about the dangers in the big room" but they never yelled at her.

Princess Eva

P.S. Momma says you did good to go back to your mom when she called you. Even if you were going to fast to stop.

Oooh Stella, a girl after our hearts....you'll need to come and visit us, we can ignore our humans together then :D You're lucky you didn't meet one of those noisy metal beasts with the round feets though....could have been ugly!
You behave now, ok? Scaring humans might be fun....but its cruel or something....probably.

Our humans are petrified of that too, for some reason. That's why the nickname our lot Sibe Quentin. Not for lack of trying, but we can't seem to get out of it to go running. Concrete in trenches. 8 foot fencing. Sigh.

Oh, SCARY, Stella! I'm all for blowing off what the bipeds tell you to do, but not when it comes to being loose. You could get HURT and we just can't have that!!! Please be careful, OK? We love you too much! So does your mom!

Seeing as how you are now home safe I can say that I am glad you got to get some of that energy out, BUT you have to be careful. We'd be so upset if anything happened to you!!

You live in such a big country, surely there's somewhere you can go and run loose? I do hope so, although Gail, who lived in Oklahoma for 2 years, keeps telling me I'm lucky to be in Scotland, where there's no end of beaches, forests and mountains and dogs are almost always allowed to roam free. She says people are stricter about that sort of thing in the US.
Cheers, Hamish.
PS I have had a word with Gail about her handwriting.

That scares us so much!! My mom will chase us and we ignore her because, like you, we think it's great fun. Our problem is that we're surrounded by woods and so many good smells. But my mom never gives us and has never lost one of us forever. That's the way moms are. Please don't scare her that way again. We would miss you if you disappeared.
