Sunday Chat

Happy Sunday everyone.  Its 64 F degrees here this morning and just couldn't feel better after our 85 degree days of last week.   We hope all of you who have been suffering with the heat got a nice break (we hope permanently)  in your weather too.

Here is an old picture of me and my pal the beautiful Trixie of the Dennis the Vizsla blog. I would like to have more colors in my furs, like Trixie does instead of all black.   I just love her coat.  Do you like it too?

Zkhat would like to express her pleasure in having a furminator.  Mom bought it for Stella who says NO to it, so we tried it on Zkhat and she has filled up a wastebasket with her funny colored hair.  She loves me to run it over her furs and I am sure she has been much cooler without so much furriness.  Looks slimmer too!

Several many of you had some things to say about my diet.  My Vet cutting my daily ration in half, but it hasn't been bad to me, mostly because its been so hot I haven't wanted to eat too much.  Once it stays cooler and we get out for our walkies again, it might be a little harder.  We don't have a scale that weighs me, but my Mom says I am looking better right along!

We want to welcome the newest little Woo at Overland Park.  He isn't named yet, but he is a beautiful little White Sibe that is a gift from Thunder to their Dad.  Go and welcome the little guy!

This made me think about KB of Romping and Rolling in the Rockies .  This week's Time magazine had a short about a Mountain Lion who was collared in South Dakota, and went all the way to Connecticut where it was hit by a car and killed.  Thats a long walk and we are sorry he couldn't stay in the mountains where he lived.  Looking for a girl friend, d'ya spose??

Ann of Zoolatry wrote this morning that she is starting a new blog re her husband's battle with cancer.  When one family member is battling, the whole family is, and Ann will share what she can about this.  Her husband, Vic Adamus, is the writer of one of my favorite blogs, Cat in the Bag!

Have a Happy new week you pups and peeps.  Do what you can for Rescue . . .until they all have homes!

Cheers and kisses,

Jo, Stella and Zkhat

Have a wonderful Sunday, Stella. We're on our way to Ann's

Hi Jo, Stella and Zkhat,
What a nice newsy post. 64ºF sounds good to us. Currently 53ºF and raining the proverbial cats and dogs here in Aberdeen (why do they say that, by the way?).
We agree that Trixie has beautiful furs, but we think Stella's silky black coat is just lovely too. As is the rest of her, of course - don't disappear altogether Stella!
Toodle pip!

We've heard that Trixie has a colorist, but that is probably just a rumor started by the jealous.

Hi Y'all,

Wow! What a lot of news you broadcast!

We had a cooler afternoon after some morning showers. Morning temps tend to start low in the 50's or low 60's here in the mountains, but tend to HEAT up quickly.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Momma says fan clubs are great but we should consider getting an agent who will get some paying gigs...or maybe dad could pass the hat when crowds surround us...something with a sign like 5 pups need kibble cash!

YoYoMa and I love our fuminator; Puffy kind of does too but Nuka and Quinn agree with Stella...no thanks! Glad Zkhat enjoys the tool.

We send White Dog woos of healng and energy to Vic and Ann. It is for our friends who are battling on the front lines that we keep pushing and gaining ground against the c monster. May Vic be victorious.

Stella we are mightily impressed that you are sticking to your diet and doing so well. We are proud of your determination and send positive thoughts.

what a sweet post - nice of you to give a shout out to Lightning a.k.a. Fergus in some areas:)

We all have Ann and Vic in our thoughts and prayers - seems so unfair for them to have to go through so much - but there is still hope.

Stella, your furs are just beautiful. How many times have we heard our Mom comment on how shiny and sleek your coat is! Seems like every one always wants what someone else has. Do you think Trixie goes to the salon for her colors? She is beautiful.

Have a great week.

Tsar says you're beautiful just the way you are with your silky lack furs. Don't change a thing. he also says that you can try his diet. It really works. Eat like usual for two days, then don't eat for three days. Then repeat.

Today it's rainy, but it's also booming so Morgan is afraid. It's a little cooler, but the humidity is awful.

Trixie is very nice! Love the colors! Certainly is starting to cool down....was 46 this morning (Wednesday). Don't want to say it but I think Fall is just around the corner....

I'm so glad that it's cooling down for you. What a relief.

That mountain lion was pretty amazing. By chance, he ended up on a highway that I traveled very frequently as a little girl. My relatives live a few miles from there. I think that he was trying to thumb his nose at the authorities who had just recently declared the mountain lion to be extinct in the east! I hope that a pair make it to the east and have kittens!

Speaking of which, I got a photo on my wildlife cam of a mother bobcat and her kitten. I am ecstatic!

It's great to catch up with you.
