Six Days is Long Enough!

Hello, all you Pups and Kitties!

We were planning to wait a month to have our computer repaired, but by Monday we had had enough of no pals, no mail, no recipes, no weather info, no FUN, so we took 'Puter to the shop and she came home today, seemingly in very good shape.

We do have some exciting news for you though, Dennis the Vizsla's sister, the Beautiful Trixie is visiting us here in Minniesnowda.  You can go here http://dennisthevizsla.wordpress.com/2011/05/02/overheard-around-the-house-20/#comment-26658
for the whole story, or just look here for a very nice picture of two girlfriends singin' a song.

They really are a beautiful pair, aren't they?

Our local highschool has a spring program where kids come out with a staff person and rake up your yard (if you are way past being old enough to vote!) and they did my yard today!  Wow, what a wonderful treat that is.  They won't take money, tips, food or a blessed thing for doing it either.  I always write them a thank you note but it sure doesn't seem like much when I see those bags lined up along the street!

So thanks for all of your messages and good thoughts.

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella, Zkhat and the Beautiful Trixie!

Glad you got the computer repaired.

What a terrific high school program. Helping out people in the community and teaching a great lesson to our future leaders. I always think of those moments when someone says kids today are not as good as they used to. I think things like that proves that is not true - lots of great kids out there.

You will rescue Dennis won't you? You won't leave him in his current situation?

YAY, welcome back. And we are so glad you know that Trixie is there now too.

What a wonderful thing for the high school kids to do!!!

Sometimes just that special note to the school means a lot to kids today.

So pleased that we didn't lose you for a month, and also that you have been able to tear yourself away from contemplating your wonderfully tidy yard, to send us this update!

Hi Stella!
Glad to have you back!
That's pawsome what the school kids are doing! We wish it would be the same here very soon! We already have school programs where they go to the animal shelters and help out, which i think is brilliant!

Cheers,
Maxx

We are glad to have you back! It is very hard to live without a computer or internet these days - our internet was down for a few hours yesterday and I was itching for it to start working again so I could look up the weather forecast!

Enjoy the visit from your furiends!

We are glad you got your computer fixed...otherwise we would miss out on all of this great news. A fun houseguest always makes the days special. We hope you have a wonderful time together.

It is refreshing to hear that hs kids are learning the value of community service and giving something back to their neighbors...they will hopefully keep that lesson alive in their hearts for the rest of their lives. I bet the yard looked extra great when they were done...and believe me, those Thank notes are cherished!

We are glad to hear your computer is fixed, we would have missed you so much. We loved the song, you and Trixie sang it so well, did Trixie write the words or you.

Powzers Stella! Sure wish we had a chance to pounce on those leaves before they were bagged! We cleaned a yard once and some boy-scouts came along and helped us finish it! They showed us how to tie the bags too. Thanks for the great dogblog.

Hi Stella! We totally understand about the computer issues - it would make us crazy if it were broken (it is bad enough mom doesn't get to visit much now - oh we don't even want to think what a broken computer would mean!)

That is so cool about the kids raking your yard - do they just show up and start - that would be so funny to not realize it and start the day with leaves then look again and they are gone!

Based on the music you choose for this blog, somehow it makes sense that YOU would know YoYo was destined to become YoYoMa...our new boy has the soul of an artist and he brings us as much joy as the Man's music.

Thanks for your kind words of welcome.
