Red time with the Porties!

Hi all you Pups and Kitties!

The Portie guys are having a little photo thing going on and want pics of everybuddy in something red!.  Here I am wearing my favorite Lumberjack scarf, its to wear out in the woods so peeps can see you and don't cut trees to fall down on you!    Smart, yes?  The reason my mouth is open is that I was singin' the Lumberjack Song - - -Timberrrrrrrrrr!

Here are the rules to this fun event as written by Fudge, one of the Portie Brothers:

1. Dress or wrap your pet in something red, it doesn't have to be a bandana.  It can be anything you have around your house.

2. Take a picture of your pet, can be individual or group shot.

3. Send pictures to Sue at this address:  wilcoxhall@ymail.com.  Include your pets name(s), state or Country where you live and your blog or web address so Sue can link back to you.

4.  Check the Portuguese Water Dog blog on June 10 to look at the neat pictures and to make some new friends.

Now how easy is that?  Even I can do it.  Just don't forget to send in time for June 10 viewing!

Now you might ask why there is no picture of Ali Zophia here . . .If our Mom tried to put something on her that she wasn't borned with, she would get mad and go upstairs and stay for at least three days.  Just so you know!

UPDATE--Look, we got her in all her grumpy glory!

Kisses,

Stella, the Lumberjack Dog (its a family tradition!)

Stella, that is a really cool pic of you!
Martha is with Ali Z - we tried and she ran off as though we were about to strangle her with the red scarf.
Martha growled and sulked - so we took her pic anyway and sent it off!!!!!
It would have been great if either could have looked as happy as you!!

You look great, Stella. Maybe you can trick Ali Z by putting down a red blanket or towel or something that she might snuggle up on to take a nap. Then, snap, you've got a picture.

Hello Stella!

That's a really cool "red-themed" photo. We will have our photo shoot with Mom this week. It would sure be a challenge for her if she can have all of us join. We'll keep you posted.

By the way, do visit us when you're free. Would it be alright if we add you to our blog roll so we can be updated with your adventures too? Thankies!

Oh Stella you look truly smashing in that red bandana. Can I sing along to the lumberjack song with you? (I take it you mean the Monty Python one?)
Gail says she is going to try and find something suitable for me to wear in red too, but I know I won't look anything like as good as you do!

You are the cutest lumberjack I have ever seen! Maybe if I go and pout for days when mom dresses me up I could get out of future torture.

Sooo glad to hear you're doing well enough to be on Tylenol. But you said the subject bores you now so I won't dwell. I'm just happy for you :)
You asked a bunch of questions the other day about my leg, but I just found some time to respond: It does not hurt at all! Some vets want to amputate but my mommy won't let them unless there is a need for it. There are no repairs we can do any longer. Many doctors tried to fix it a few years back, but they all gave up. I'm perfectly happy and I bet I'd trip and fall over if I had four healthy legs. That's how well adjusted I am. Thank you so much for caring.

Thanks for the reminder about the "red" contest. And, thanks for straightening me out about where your blog is! I was getting worried about your lack of posts :)

Looking back, I'm happy to see the steady progress that you seem to be making after those rough spots at the start. I hope that you've been able to sit on the porch and enjoy the summer weather with Stella by your side.

I loved the replay of your Max World Tour post when he passed away. A very nice and poignant gesture.
