Its a New Day!

For starters, the three of us are back at Blogger and we have Mr. Author of Life with Dogs to give a hearty thanks for it.  You know Blogger was our home, all of our best pals are here and we love this place and all of our pals.  So here we are, didn't lose any of our history or pictures and we are enormously grateful to Neil!  Uhhh, I said some rude things to Nigel Buggers and so here I am to apologize for them.  Can you imagine ME saying rude things to Buggers?  A little hard, yes?  So its official, I apologize Nigel Buggers, and I hope you will accept.  If not, Wordpress here we come!

On Monday, April 24th I had a total knee replacement and its coming along furry nicely.  Some pain but those little pills seem to be taking care of that.  You barely make it out of the recovery room until they have you up and walking!  Then you find yourself meeting Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists learning all kinds of new tricks of walking, showering, etc.  I even bought a gizmo that is a sock putter onner.  For a mere $25 (that didn't used to be so mere, but it seems to be now , uh, is my age showing?)
you can have fun putting on your socks again!   Not since I was a two year old has putting socks on been fun!
So if you have any surgery questions, I would be more than happy to answer them!

I see they have once again saved the best for the last!  I would like to tell you about our friend Lori the Librarian who would check on us throughout the day.  She made sure we were all fed, watered, and got our daily cuddles.  She is a very sweet, kind person and the kindest thing for me was taking Stella for a walk every day.  Even kinder would be if she would move her to your house on a pernament basis!  Please send applications to Ali Z and I will choose who would get her.

Mom here!  Oh dear, I am not sure we can do this, Z!  I said I wouldn't edit but I may have to start to.
Its good to be back and I am looking forward to your Comments!

Happy Weekend to All,

Jo, Stella and Ali Z!

It's nice to have you back. Now do I switch you over from wordpress or should I wait and see? Either way, it's good to hear you in good spirits. I guess things are a little dull right now if putting on your socks is that much fun.

I'm sure things will pick up as your knee gets stronger and less painful.

Welcome back. Can't say I have had putting on socks in a long time, so that may be a toy to get - grins.

Welcome back!
I would like to apply to have Stella come and live here with me in Scotland. Any dog that was so nice to Hamish must be a sweetie!
Oh, Gail is saying that she thinks Stella is very happy where she is, and that Ali Z is just having a little joke and I shouldn't take her literally. Is that so? Life is so very complicated. It seems I have much to learn...

Well done to your rescuer!
Now we know Mr Auther is more than just a pretty face!
Well actually we have never seen his face but you know what we mean.
We too are grateful to him for getting you back - you have been missed.
Just loving your sock putter on! What fun. Glad the surgery went well - sounds like you are singing through the pain - of course we expect to see you in the next marathon now.
Happy Sunday

Yah! You're back! We've worried about you and wondered why your blog dropped into the black hole.

Glad to hear that your surgery went well and you're not experiencing much pain. That sock contraption is something! I can see how putting on socks is exciting again!

Ali Z, Here's our app for Stella: She will join us for daily trail romps. She will be pounced daily by the Kona Dog. She will be given stink-eye every other day by the Kona Dog. She will receive a pounce/stink-eye combo every third day...(Perhaps we should retract our app, for Stella's sake).

I see it worked! This is the first chance I have had to check, so I'm thrilled to see you got a post up.

I hate to admit it, but the idea of Stella being nice to Nigel makes me a little nervous. We shouldn't mess with tradition. :)

You're back to blogger? What's up with that? I didn't quite get what happened but it sounds like you're happy with your decision and that's all that matters.
So glad to hear about your surgery. I did notice my mom drooling over the sock pully thingy. She's got back issues. Our best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Hey there Jo'
Its really nice to have you back. I was a little confused about the blogs at first, but we are still here...following you.
I wish you well in your recovery. My mom had the same op when she was alive and I nursed her, so I really admire you sock-putter-on-thingy! Very clever indeed.
Take care and lotsaluv to you all.
