I got a large size, and my Mom says they are very nicely made. But with a sky full of sunshine, I will have to wait until next week, Monday or Tuesday to try it out. But I am sure it will work, like those other guys shirts worked too. If if doesn't we can send it right back, they said so. If you are interested, you can find them at
Thundershirts and they give you all the directions you need to get started with it. Now I am excited to have a Storm come, who ever thought I would say anything like that! Thats all for me for this time!

Hi Everybody, its Jo here. You know what happens when you blog once a week? You have time to read all the other bloggers, and its fun!
I was thinking about some of my favorite blogs. One of them is Kind Hearts out of the UK, a small rescue organization, that truly lives up to their name. The guy who runs it is named John, and the writer of the blog is Grumpy Bobby, a dog who came as a rescue and nobody wanted him. So he is the assistant manager I guess. They go to the beach everyday, and play together. If a pup needs medical help, they get it, if, like little Ebony a tiny pup, they are cold and need a sweater, they get it. Not too long ago, they got in two "furbodies" who were extremely overweight and they arranged with Royal Canin a weight loss regimen where their diet food is provided and their vet is documenting the loss. They are very good at finding homes for these guys too. I told them in a comment, if my Stella ever had to go back into Rescue for any reason, I would hope to find another Kind Hearts here in the US, and if I couldn't I'd send her to England! But I know we have some excellent small rescues here in the US and don't you think we could show them off a bit in our blogs. Please comment if you have some you would like mentioned.
Last but NOT Least, its me Ali Zophia! My Mom asked me what I thought of Twinkie Twinkerson's
first advice column. I thought it was Just Fine. I think she is going to be one sassy advice giver which is what some of these endless advice seekers need. Now remember I was called about being too smart and sassy in my comments, so I toned it all down a little but I never really liked it after that. So go to it, Twinkie!
All best wishes,
Jo, Stella and Ali Zophia

I didn't know about Thundershirts either. Cool! Once a week blogging....not a bad idea....
Your thundershirt looks great! It matches your fur nicely and you can hardly tell you're wearing anything.

Thanks for the tip, Stella! I am wondering if the thundershirt is something I could utilize with the Berner, in the future!
Be sure to let us know how the thundershirt works next time you have a storm. That might be something that would make Morgan less nervous.
We have a No-Kill shelter called C.A.R.E. it stands for Castaway Animal Rescue Effort. We take them old collars that we don't need anymore, laundry detergent, hand knit blankets and of course, food.
Ma read about them in a rag she gets called "The Bark," and they're supposed to really help in anxious situations - you look pawsome in it! Let us know how and if it helps ease anxiousness. Always love hangin' here for the music, which I LOVE (and mom does too!)
Hugs xo

WE hope your thundershirt works as well for you as we have heard for some others. Mom would get one for Phantom but he got so freaked out with his t-shirts last summer that she doesn't want to start that all over again.
We will have to go check out that blog your Mom talked about.
Ali Z., we thought Twink did a good job too.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

Hi Jo, we will go check out the Kind Hearts blog, it sounds wonderful!
Yes Ali, we agree that Twink is doing a great job!

Cloud
PS. Stella, I think you may be right about my Thundershirt mellowing my brain a little, because since I got it, I hardly pull at all on walks anymore... even when I'm not wearing it! OMD, WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!!!!
Stella, I take it back - go chase Ali around the house, BOL!
Hi Everybuddy! I hopes your thundershirt works for you, Stella. My mom belongs to a Shy K9s group on yahoo and some of them have had Most Terrific success with it! Ali Z - I thoughts Twink did a good job, too. She is very Most Funny. Ali Z and Stella's mom - we'll make sure and check out that bloggie you told us about.
Until next weekend - wiggles & wags!

Hey there Stella!
You look really smart in that Thundershirt! Yes, I see Cloud has really settled with his too. Isn't that wonderful! I have heard of folk wrapping/bandaging their dogs too for such-like anxieties.
Good luck with yours...it looks super!

Hi there! Thanks so much for your comment on my story. I will be adding Part 3 either later today or tomorrow.
Best of luck with the thundershirt. Let us know how it works! Marge is somewhat storm phobic herself, but we've managed using treats so far.
Hi Stella,
I really hope that the Thundershirt works! One of my previous dogs was terrified of thunder and he would have liked it.
Now, when we have thunder storms, my husband and I carry around pockets full of treats, and the dogs get treats every time it BOOMS. It was our trainer's idea, and even though K tends to be easily scared, she's not scared of thunder!
I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend!!! Perhaps it's warm enough to sit on the porch? It's not yet warm enough here but I'm waiting anxiously for that day!
I hope your thunder shirt works as well as it did for Cloud! :)
What a great post. We are supporters of our local rescue - Sarge's - http://sargeandfriends.org/ . What a great job they do.
And saw your comment on KB's blog and saw she commented here. We love sitting on our porch some days and just watching the sun set (or rise) over the ridges. I do not consider that to be a waste of time in the least.
Our mom has seen those shirts before. We sure hope it helps you Stella :)

Mama REALLY wants to get one of those thundershirts for Bilbo to wear...Thanks for the review Stella!!

Stella, you'll have to let us know how the thundershirt works. I'm lucky that with all of my Kona's fears, she doesn't mind thunder!
Thanks for highlighting the rescue organization. It's encouraging to hear about the good work people do for animals.
Stella and Jo thanks for sticking up for Callie.. She is a quite the handful at times but we wouldn't have it any other way...

How kind to give such good comments for us, little Ebony is going to see a lady today so paws crossed it will be the right home. The last one John took her to he would not leave her, he will only let her go if he feels it will be good for her. Its the same with them all but little Ebony really needs that extra special person as she is very clingy.
I should get Mum to look into that for Auntie Penny. She gets so scared she makes herself sick!
Thundersthirts...I've never heard of them but it is a very great idea! My last dog, Alex, was so afraid of thunderstorms and he would shake constantly during them. So far Holly hasn't been like that but she hasn't seen very many storms. I'll have to check that out..thanks for writing about them! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
I tried to find a Victoria Stillwell video that had great tips for doggies that fear storms for you, but I was unsuccessful. The episode title is "Weathering the Storm" if you get a chance to watch it. She has great tips but all I remember is that rubbing us down with dryer sheets helps because they get rid of the static electricity, another element that scares some of us.
I found your last lines extremely useful. I don't think sassy is a bad thing. I'll listen to you once again and I'll just go for it. As for having extra time to visit blogs, I'm really jealous because I'm so busy lately. Sounds like you made a pretty smart choice.
Twinkie
Woooos!Stella! we found woo once again! I think Scampi would like woo thundershirt, he is phobic of most of those type of things, except he would have to wear it all day and night. He has a small sleeping bag that he uses now.
I hope it works fur woo!
