Its Me, Ali Z!

I had a bit of a sleep in this morning.  It felt good though!  We have a few letters, so lets get started.

TinyTwinkieDog has another romance question for us.  Every time I post a photo of my cute female dog friend, my male friends will hit on her.  What should I do? Don't answer unless you can give me hope.
Ah, Twinkie, what can I tell you? I will consult with RH and see what he says.  Stop posting the girl friend's pic and post your own. I have told you I am not good at romance things, you might send your question to Riley and Star and see what they say.  Good luck, dear.

Kissabull  said we were wondering if tooting on our new brother and sisters pillows right before they take a nap is a nice welcome home gesture.  Oh, my!  Uhh, it probably would be just that for some pitties, wouldn't it?  I would say yes, definitely.  They should feel right at home!

Dennis the Vizsla refers to KBs question aboout Bobcats last week and asks Is that Bobcat Goldthwait we are talking about with the catnip?  I thought he finally got clean!  OK, Dennis, NO this is not Bobcat Goldthwait we are talking about, this was KB, the Mountain Girl who wants to see more visits from a Bobcat who comes past her home now and then.  No connection there at all!

Mango writes Most interesting about the Catnip. . .is there anything like that for dogs?   Uh, Mango, I hope not, but who knows, I will need more time to research this question.  Look for me next week, please.

Max of South Africa writes  What are the Kitty Howls we hear at night?  They are driving King Toffee nutz?   Max, this is all part of the question you asked me sometime back about suddenly your neighborhood is overrun with cats.  It seems that people in your neighborhood let their cats run loose at night, and the howling is part of the mating ritual.  It will only get worse!  Do you have any Animal Control Bureau that would check on this for you?  It really needs people to keep their cats in at night, and for the Animal Control people to see if homeless cats are running about.  Good luck!

Life With Dogs asked can I really see cute little Ludo in anger management classes?  No, Mr. Author, I really can't.  Stella adores him, and so does everyone else.  Its me he writes to when he gets angry at people, and I give him the only advice I know.

Thats all for this week, send your comments in for next Tuesday!
Thanks everyone for writing!

Meow, meow,

Ali Zophia

I'd like to know why I get yelled at for partaking in delicacies that I find on my walks. I hardly get fed enough kibble to stay alive, so I try to supplement with nature's bounty. You would not believe how I get treated when this happens. First they scream "drop it drop it drop it!!! Of course I ignore this and then they really go ballistic. What in the world is wrong with these people?

Oh, by the way, this is not about deer poo or any other kind of poo. A couple of days ago I found a dead mouse and yesterday... well, I don't know what it was exactly, but it was very crunchy.

It's good to know that all the questions I have been afraid to ask will be answered here.

I am wondering if you are familiar with Simon's cat. these are the two I like the best:

I think maybe that Twinkie needs to stop posting movies of her going cracker dog if she wants a date. Just a thought. Maybe she has found that doggie cat nip.

Thank you so much for your help Ali Z. Your suggestion to post my own photos was indeed wise. As for Mango, he could use some catnip. Dexter on the other hand, not.

Wilbur doesn't act any different around catnip. Do you think there is something wrong with him? Well, besides being a cat?

Hey there Ali-Z
I was waiting with anti...ciption for your answer...I love your weekly collumn!!!
Okay, here's the truth: "Animal Control Bureau"???... Eish, this is Africa! No, the kitties run around wild at night - that's the norm here.... Perhaps I need to appoint myself as animal control officer?! Do you think the kitties will like me?
Take care and lotsalicks

Excellent advice as ever Ali Z!
I have a serious question for you this week - what is the feline perspective on how best to cope with a newly dog-less household?
Cheers,

Ali Z,

As always, you made me chuckle. I forgot to thank you last week for researching catnip and telling me all about it. I decided that I'm going to stay away from that stuff!!

Hi, Ali Z! I'm kinda new around here but gosh, I'm glad I found you. I need your advices, quick! My Kitteh-Sister, Abby, won't have anything to do with me. When she sees me, she just high-tails it out of the room. I try to let her know I want to be her friend by staring at her and wagging my tail. But it's not doing any good. Help! What am I doing wrong?

Thank you so much! Wiggles & Wags!

Great advice Ali Z - we would also be interested in a canine equivalent to catnip!
Martha is still trying to make friends with the cat down the street - she continues to hiss!
Should she give up?
