Its me, Ali Z!

Hello Kitties and Pups!

Its Tuesday already and here I am with some mail!

First letter is from Dory who says she met her kitty Aunty Callie and for the first time , after five years of visiting her house!  Why did she wait five years before she let me see her.    Oh, Dory, that is a hard question to answer. Some kitties don't like company at all, and some might be afraid of puppies, some may not feel like having company when you come.  But my guess is that you started coming when you were just a little puppie and she doesn't like baby pups that don't know enough not to chase her.  I bet that now, she feels you are old enough and dependable enough that she won't need to be scared anymore!  Good for you, you stuck it out!

The OP Pack asks if I am enjoying the winter.  I am an indoor cat,
and I never go outside, except sometimes in the summer I go in the backyard when Stella isn't there.  My first family declawed me so its hard to defend myself if something gives me trouble.  So the seasons are mostly all the same to  me!

Our Scottish friends, Martha and Bailey ask why didn't Maxdog have jet lag from his world tour?    I think Petey and Asta did much of the arranging of things and they have some special way to handle this.  Jet lag is pretty unpleasant and so while I don't know what the method was, it seemed to work very well.  Next time you travel check it out with Asta and Petey and they might be able to help you with your arrangements.

KB asks how can I get my Bobcat friend to visit more?  What about catnip and what does it do to cats?   KB, I am perplexed as to why you want a Wild cat frequent visitor, but here is what I found out about catnip.  A chemical compound called nepetalactone is the primary cause for the psychological reaction in some cats.   However the reaction is one of real excitement, a sexual excitement.  Some cats don't get this because the response is inherited.  Also cats that have a genome originating in areas where Catnip doesn't grow naturally, will not be affected by this herb.  So if you are thinking of using this to attract your Bobcat, either he won't notice it at all or he will be knocking on your door looking for a party!  Be careful!

One of Stella's pals, Ludo, wrote about being very angry with his Mum when she doesn't always do things that please him.  Dear Ludo, I just can't take sides in your family battles, I hope you understand that.  You do have a bit of a short fuse, though, and maybe you could go to Anger Management training, and now that you are getting older, it might be a good thing for you.  Think about it if you will.

All for now,meow, meow,
Ali Zophia

Ali Z! I missed you? How are you? I liked today's advice? Aren't you getting wiser? I'm afraid I have another romance question for you? Every time I post the photo of a cute female dog, one or more of my male furiends are sure to hit on her? The other day, I put up a picture of Asha, and guess what, the enormous guy stopped himself short of asking for her phone number? I even found slobber on my post? Please Ali, don't answer unless it is to give me hope?

Hey there Ali-Z!
As usual, you have dispensed your uninhibited wisdom. That's what I love about you - direct and to the point!
Ali-Z...there was no Jet-lag! With Simona's beautiful aeroplane, Hamish's hootch and the wonderful hospitality around the globe, I was none the wiser!
I have a question this week: What are all those kitty-howls we hear at night? They drive King Toffee nuts!???
Look after yourself, gorgeous kitty and give a lick, from me, to Stella.
