A major winter storm is becoming more likely Friday night through
Sunday for all of eastern North Dakota...northwest and west
central Minnesota. Snow is expected to develop Friday night and
continue through Sunday. The snow may become heavy at times on
Saturday...and significant accumulations are possible before the
snow tapers off later on Sunday. Northerly winds will also
increase by Sunday...causing blowing and drifting snow.
So much for the January thaw!
My Mom loves facts about things that aren't much important and she got a calendar for Christmas that has lots of stuff like she likes. For instance the scoop on cows:
*While many animals see only in black and white, cows see in color (except red which is the best color, I think).
*Cows navigate by looking at the ground. If one is stuck in a field that's covered in water, she has no idea where she is. (I thought thats what herding dogs were for, to bring them home when they get lost.)
*Because their eyes protrude slightly, cows have panoramic vision, allowing them to see nearly 360 degrees
around. (Some dogs have slightly protruding eyes, do you see this way?)
*Cows don't tear grass out of the ground with their teeth. They wrap their tongue around it and pull. (Roots and all? So its goodbye grass?)
Then this is the best one, in my opinion,
*A study found that cows give 35 percent more milk when listening to Elvis Presley's music!
(Now wouldn't The King just love that?)
I'm on my way to outside with my big rawhide, and I wish you a happy Martin Luther King day today.
By the way, here is a picture of me, and its how I look when my Mom starts out with her FACTS!
Yawn!
Kisses,
Stella

Stella, your weather report is much better than those others!
What are you and your mom going to do with all your cow knowledge?
I like the cow facts! My mum loves stuff like that too. She's a bit weird sometimes.
Hi Stella, we recognize that glazed expression. We get it when our Mom starts explaining why we need to be quiet and well behaved.
Have you heard anything from Hero and Tagpi since they moved back to the States?
Woof! Woof! My Mom is kind a like your mom ... Yah! sure enjoyed your COW facts. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Stella, we still have lots and lots of snow here, but I don't think we're supposed to be in on the latest storm. Good thing, cuz I've had enough fur a while.
I also like your cow facts. Cows are interesting. They also taste good too.
What? Is true!

Cloud
PS. That is a super cute picture of you!!!
Tell you what. I'd invite all my sibe friends over, if I were in your shoes. Haven't you noticed they're all patrolling for the snow thief? They're also keeping their paws crossed. Give them a buzz.
Twink!
Stella, can you please help send some of that snow south? We just have rain forecasts for the whole week AND lots more fog. That dense fog keeps allowing the sneaky Snow Thief to come in and steal what little snow is left.
Those cow facts were pretty interesting.
