My How the Time Flies!

Hi Pups and Kitties:

Its me, Stella, here because my Mom said I had to come up with a blog today.  I told her that she knows why, because its been soooo very cold, way sub-zeros like 15 below to 25 below F.  We don't do anything but go out to do our business and hurry back in the house.  But we did get a package in the mail last week that has a whole story behind it.

Here is me, laying in my bed with some toys around to play with.    Just before this she tried to get me to stand up so everybuddy could see my FEETS.  She says they look like they are six inches around with all the fur that is growing on them, like horse feets.  She also said the Groomer (the torturer) will not clip them any more because I am too naughty about it.  Sooo the package that came last week was this:

So everyday now, she gets it out, buzzes it a while, and then puts it back in the case.  She thinks by doing this she will get me used to it, and I won't mind if she clips my feets.  Whadda you think???  You think I mind?  You bet I mind.  She can switch it on and off until the thing breaks apart and I am not doing this.

This is just so wrong in so many ways.  This is how my feets are supposed to be.  So they pack in a little mud or snow, no big deal.

You have to stay tuned for the rest of this story, I can't tell you how its gonna end, but I KNOW she is gonna try those clips on me, I just know it.

OK, I will tell you about Ali Z now.  She is all depressed, stays upstairs, won't come down Because she doesn't get any questions anymore.  I told her, you are too Harsh, you say mean things to pups and kitties and they don't like it.  She says sometimes that is needed.  I say well, maybe, but you just go too far.  So she asked me to ask if anyone has any questions to put them in the comments.  So I just did.  My question is what do I have to do to get the clipper busted.  Haw!  That would be good, wouldn't it.

This is it for me.  I love winter but this sub-zero weather is too cold for anything but poler bears and penguins. Let it warm up to about 10 or 15 above and I am out there with my Wubba havin' a time!  15 or 20 below I am inside havin' a nap!

Happy New Year evfurry buddy!

What use will you be with cold feetyfeets?

The Thundering Herd said...

Miss Kiska sympathizes with your furry feet problem, because that is where she gets snow balls. So her paws are trimmed too -but with scissors. One human is responsible for ear and belly rubs while the other trims quickly.

Do not let that buzzy thing near you. Goodness. You are just perfect the way you are.

As for Ali Z, I do have one question...

Why does Momma insist that I should drink out of my water bowl after I have slobbered in it? She says, "Oh Mango, its your own slobber, just drink." But I make sad face until she fills it with fresh water. I mean she wouldn't drink the water she spits out after she brushes her toofers, right?

When my dog was terrified of nail clippers, I tried a grinding tool instead. I did the same thing, turning it on near her at first but not attempting to use it. She'd flee the room fast. Eventually, she'd stay in the room with it, but never let me grind her nails. Instead, we eventually got her used to the clipper.

We clip the fur between the dogs paw pads using blunt-ended scissors... it prevents snow-ball buildup, and they don't mind it!

For Ali: What do you think of my idea that it's my "year of the bobcat"?

Keep warm Stella.

Ha, ha, tell your Mom she should see the forty dustmops called feet that carry things into our house. Our Mom thinks she should trim them sometimes, but we do a little dance on the grooming table so she can't zero in on the footsies. Then she carts us off to Miss Carolyn and she doesn't put up with nonsense, she clip us and we have to start growing hair all over again.

Tell Ali Z to come back. We can handle some harsh answers now and then.

It's cold here in France too but nothing like the temperatures you describe. Brrrrrrr!

Isn't that equipment for SHEEP? Maybe it was delivered to the wrong address... Try putting it back in the mail. maybe?

Poor Ali Z! I have always enjoyed her questions and answers, I think she is a very wise cat.

Maybe she is just not enjoying the cold so much?

I think you should attack that thing before it attacks your feets Stella. It looks very suspicious to me.

hi stella! we missed you during our little time away. we think you should get a new groomer that will do your feet fur. that is silly for a trained groomer to come up with an excuse like that--unless you really are a very bad girl, which we are sure you are not. Tell Ali-Z not to be offended. we all love her very much. sometimes professional advice columnists need a vacation too. taking on other peoples problems can be a big responsibility ;-)

We get the bottoms of our feety feet trimmed at the groomers a couple of times a year. WE don't like it either but it is better than getting all the ice and snow stuck in there. Maybe you could let Mom try it on one paw at a time, just a little bit. Would you let her use scissors? Mom has done that with blunt end tips.

Tell Ali Z. we miss her. Our question for her is why would she want to stay up there all alone when she could come down and let you entertain her?

omdog those clippers look totally scary.

Ask Ali Z why cat poo tastes so good, we can't get enough of it.

The Army of Four said...

Oh no! Our mom uses something like that on our snowshoes! I don't care for it!

Hey there Stella, Jo and Ali-Z
A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU! (Although it's belated)
Sounds like you are in for a brand new look, Stella!!
...and Ali-Z - we love you, despite all the sabotage attempts at your kitty status.
Keep warm and happy.

Hi Stella! Mom is laughing imagining your feets looking like horse feets. I'm glad I don't need my feet fur trimmed, it doesn't look like any fun at all!

Isn't this cold crazy??? We are supposed to wake up to -40 below wind chills Friday morning. I may not get out of bed at all!!!

Tell Ali Z that we luv her just the way she is! And to please answer me dis question: HOW LONG IS DIS WINTER GOING TO LAST???

Dory and the Mama said...

I don't like my feeties trimmed either Stella, I don't mind anything else..but don't touch my feeties!!

Here is a question for Ali Z...Why do some kitties in my neighborhood go play in the tunnels underground??

Steve, Kat, & Wilbur said...

Yeah, that will never work. Sort of like the dremel that Dad tried to use on my nails. Once. I think that says it all.

Life With Dogs said...

Pop a breaker and those clippers are useless.

Can cats be invisible? :p

Hi Stella, it does sound cold - it is minus 13 here so we know how you feel!
We are still going out but our mum is moaning about how cold it is.
We laughed at your torture instrument - we got a thing to trim our nails and our mum is doing the same thing. She turns it on thinking we will soon be used to it - they must think we are daft!
Tell Ali Z not to be depressed - we miss her loads. Ask her if she would like to come visit two bassets in Scotland and play in the snow.
We thought the Zoolatry pics were beauitful!
love and kisses
