I think you can enlargigate this picture and see that it is on Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm at the Courtyard by Marriott, Fitchburg, MA. For directions visit: http://www.neads.org/ They are requesting a $5 donation per person at the door and that you RSVP by October 25th to rsvp@neads.org
You can get full info about their Annual Meeting at http://www.neads.org/ (November 21st). This is held at their NEADS Campus in Princeton, MA .
If I was anywhere near these places, I would go pick up Mango and PeeWee and we would be on our way.
This is one of my Mom's favorite charities, and if you can't visit you can always send them some green papers for the good things they do. My Mom got started with them when they began a companion/service dog program for our veterans of Iran and Afghanistan who were injured and needed the help of a dog. At the beginning, they were teaching prisoners to train the dogs and that to me, is win-win!
So thanks if you can go, thanks if you can help and thanks for loving us pups!
Kisses,
Stella

We send the green bills to them all the time. Momma once visited and got a special private tour of the training rooms and stuff. It is a most wonderful place that does important work.

That sounds like a wonderful cause, if we lived near enough. I get a rag called "The Bark" and in one of the last two issues, there was indeed an article about prisoners training dogs. It was quite extraordinary. Thanks for posting!

hi Stella, thanks for stopping by my blog! It is always a pleasure to make the aquaintance of such a beautiful girl! Yeah, I was rather peeved at the whole hat situation but I have endured worse. As you saw Momma put a rediculous photo of me in a bee suit as my profile photo and just to illustrate how I am tormented you should check out the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-j3AiBGhZI&feature=youtube_gdata
What is even worse is I have detected some subtle clues that there is more of this nonsense in my very near future! Oh bother!
And thanks for sharing about this amazing group of helper dogs! Very special!
That is a wonderful organization - they do so much good. Thanks for sharing your invitation.
woos, the OP Pack
We will hope on over and take a look at their site and see about sending some cash their way.
Too bad we live thousands of miles away from that event! It sounds really cool.
