Late in the Day!

Hiya Pups and Kitties:

I guess you are all getting ready for Halloween.  I am not wearing a costume but I will guard my Mom from the little spookies that knock on our door.  Thats not a big job cuz from what I remember from last year we only got a few little monsters!

Today was a busy day for my Mom so she was gone a bunch of the time.  It rained most of the day, and then in the afternoon it started snowing all over the place.  We are maybe gonna get some more tonight too.  Here is a picture of my backyard and there isn't even enough snow to make a ring around my snooter.

So here is me saying Thanks but no thanks for this mess.  The snow is so wet it gets all stuck in your paws.  Give me dry snow, any day at all, and lots of it!

So here is me getting a few toys together for a good sleep tonight.
We will see what that mess looks like tomorrow and if its just half way decent, we will go for a
walk and gear up for the little spookies to call!

Happy Halloween!  Who did Dory pick to adoptinate her after her Mom tried to get her to wear a squirell suit?  We would like to have her here but doubt that she would like the weather, being one of those warm weather pups!

Candy Kisses,

Stella

We had very few visitors last year but with a Saturday night we aren't sure what to expect this year. We just sit and watch. Wish we had some snow too.

Happy weekend, the OP Pack

You definitely need more snow. However you have more than me, so I'm still jealous. Maybe you will get enough that you have to make tunnels around your yard.

Hi Stella - sorry you didn't get the good snow. Since it's not worth even going out in, I hope it all melts soon.

Hey there, Stella
It seems that snow can be yucky and wonderful too! We've seen some amazing snowfalls recently in bloggie-land. Have you seen:

KB's blog (and the snow) is truly amazing!...and for us its EXTRA amazing, because we don't really get snow here.
Anyway, we will hope for a beautiful snowfall for you and we will hope that you keep really warm too. Have a happy halloween too.

Hiya Stella! Make sure to guard the door closely even if you just get one monster. Those little 2 legger monsters are horrifyin!!!!

Be patient, more snow is in the forecast for the rest of the season. Hopefully you will get enough to build a snow fort!

Happy Howl-a-Ween!

That wet snow is just no fun at all. Yuck.

I'm with you on the whole trick or treat thing. I get most agitated when the monsters come to the door.

Hi Stella
I so totally agree with you about snow. Did you know that in the UK 'the wrong kind of snow' is a national joke, because one mornin, many years ago, a spokesman from British Rail used it as an excuse in a radio interview, saying that some new trains that were supposedly designed to deal with snowy conditions, got delayed in because it had been 'the wrong kind of snow'.
But we dogs know all about right and wrong kinds of snow don't we?
Cheers, H.
I also so totally agree with you about people with PhDs.....

We get NO trick or treaters. Ever. Never had a one. One of the benefits of living in the middle of nowhere. So we will just pester our humans like any normal night.

You protect your mom from those spooky little monsters!

I love when dogs take toys to bed to sleep with. It makes me smile, ear-to-ear.

And, don't worry. The dry snow will be there soon!

Tsar says he wishes it would snow here. He's been sitting on the hill all morning dreaming of snow. He didn't even come in for breakfast.

SNOW!?!?
Sigh.
We don't dress up because Stormy assured Mom we would rip any costumes to pieces.
