Some Important Dates Coming Up!

This is a picture of me, when I was in the Slammer a year ago, for the months of July, August and September.

When my Mom came dog shopping, she told them she wanted a girl dog, medium size, with a good disposition.  The girl there told my Mom that I had a good d isposition when I came but as the months
went by, I got sadder and sadder.  That was all my Mom needed to hear.  She said "Thats my dog, I am taking her home with me."

She did it, too.  She said I was a rough girl and needed lots of workings to get better, and I have!  Now I walk on the leash nice, and I try not to get too excited when company comes, and I am good to everybuddy.  I am still very scared of storms though, and my Mom is going to get me a jacket like Joe Stains wears for next summer.  Thats gonna be nice.

So what are the important dates you want to know about?  The first one is October 3rd and that is my third barkday!  Yes!   Then the second date is October 9th and that will be my First Blogoversary.  One whole year of blogging!  That has been so much fun to blog and to meet all the dogs and kitties that are my good friends now.

Who would have thought a year ago when I was getting sadder and sadder, that I would have all of these pals to write to everyday.

So get ready!  We might have some special fun on those days, we will have to think about it a little and make a plan or two.

Thanks to everybody on this blog list who has been so furry special to me over this last year! If anyone wants to know what present I want for my barkday, I want a human boy about 8 years old.  I played with one in the park one day and had the most fun ever and knew then I wanted one of my own.

Kisses,
Stella

Hi Stella,
This is my first time commenting on your blog. I was touched by your story today. What a difference lots of MOMMY TLC does for a girl...your eyes are bright and your black coat is so shiny...You and Mom are a lucky girls to have found one another.

Stella! We are wide eyed with delight! Look at you and your incredible transformation! We will always remember the first time we saw your beautifully shiny black coat and twinkling eyes on your original header! We loved every time they popped up in front of us. Just look at what a loving furever home can do to a girl (or boy.) We are sooo happy you found each other, and the dates are going on our calendar right now!!!

thanks for sharing,

Now those are some special date. We are sure glad that mom decided to bring you home..
Human boys are really nice. We have Toph but he is all grown up.. He does play ball with us sometimes but it is rare that he goes to the lake with us.. He works 6 days a week and usually wants to sleep all day on sundays..

I am not sure if I can get a human boy, aged eight, delivered to you. FedEx tends not to like things like that.

Wooos Stella! I am thrilled that you found your Mom and persuaded her to take you home! You look just like a girl that is now in dog heaven, that I lived with for a little while. Her name was Shannon and every time Mom sees your pictures, she smiles and remembers her old girl.
Happy upcoming Barkday and Blog Day! we all love Wooo!

Thanks for the comments on Callie girl..
Mom was thinking about your Mom yesterday when we were playing in the water.. Callie not being able to hear wasn't watching Mom with the stick but was watching Gus. It appears she copes with her being unable to hear with knowing that Gus can so she just follows him...

We don't talk much about our times in the slammer (or worse), and we all had those except for Natasha who has been spoiled since birth. But we sure celebrate getting to Chez Herd. So, in advance, happy adopt-a-versary and happy blog-a-versary!
