Fall and Winter!

Hi Pups and Kitties! Yesterday we just did a wordless Wednesday about snowtime coming. Its at least a month away, I'd say, but sometimes we get snow in early October. Its OK, with me though. I do get tired of it when its been here for what seems like half a year, and it never seems to want to go bye-bye. But mostly it makes me feel frisky and very happy!
As this picture shows you, I love to stick my snooter in the snow and mostly I go around with a ring of snow around it.
Jake and Fergi (Two Special Wires) wrote and said they love it too, but they love the fall when they can jump in the leaf pile. Thats fun too, you guys!
Mr Darcy says he has never seen snow! I can't imagine that! Yes, it does get very cold, sometimes not until December but it gets anywhere from 20 to 40 degrees below zero Farenheit. We take very short, very fast walks then!
The OP Pack said the Farmers Almanac is predicting a very bitterly cold winter for the midwest. I wonder if that includes the Upper Midwest. You guys are south of us and should get balmy winters (haw, haw!)
Hamish asked me if I had a winter coat? I almost always do, very heavy and warm, but then I blow it in the spring and my Mom spends her days vaccing and sweeping it up! Hamish also said he finds a wee dram of whiskey helpful too, as the nights draw in. That is something I have never had, Hamish, and doubt that I ever will. But if it warms you, it sounds good!
All the Sibes wrote and said Yeah, bring it on! Khyra doesn't get much snow but she really loves it and spends the winter complaining she doesn't get enough snow. We try and come up with schemes to send her some, but so far, no go!
Princess Eva and Bricey say NO! because their Mom won't come out and play with them when it gets deep.
We think about it, because you have a certain amount of time to get out and get the yard cleaned up, any painting done on your buildings, make sure your snow shovel and such are in good condition. Its time to go to work!
OK, no more winter talk and we will think of something else for tomorrow.
Kisses,
Stella

Stella, you look just like us when the snow flies cuz when it does we ♥ to fly around the yard and catch snowballs. Do you like to catch snowballs?

Yesh, our momma is getting ready fur the snow, too. She is getting her gardens all set to be cuddled with leaves for the winter and puttin' up alla' the fall decor. We don't know 'bout the decor but it looks nice!

Hope you like you pressie from us cuz we sure think you are special!

Hey there, Stella
Sorry we didn't comment on your beautiful snow pics yesterday. That is a sight with which we are totally unfamiliar. It's funny - things that we take for granted are totally unheard of in others' lives. So, to us, snow sounds totally romantic and I am sure our furry coats will love it too.

Well, the pups here love the cold AND the snow, while the humans don't like either, so we have a problem. We got almost no snow last year, so we think we might have to reach some sort of compromise here.

You might think of something else, but The Herd only thinks of snow.

Stella- Khool new header!

Momma nsists that clarify our statement. She enjoys the snow, it's the cold that comes with it that she doesn't like.

Mom thinks it will be an early and cold winter in the Midwest for sure. Our backyard maple has been turning red since mid July!

Me, I have a nekkid belly and don't like the snow to touch it!

Hey Stella,

I love winter too! I'm a snow snooter. It has cooled off a lot here and the leaves are starting to change. Much excitement.

Oh, my human talks to me all the time. Sometimes baby voices.

I likes your new look for bloggie.

Uh oh! I don't mind cold and snow, but a lot of times my entire yard gets icy! Ice is Mango's enemy!

All this talk of winter and snow makes me so jealous. The weather on my island is always mild so we never get any snow. In the winter it just gets very windy. That's it. What a bummer, huh? At least I can live vicariously through my blogger friends like you.

Stella! We love your new blog-look! And it was fun reading about everyone's opinions of and experience with snow! It makes us get even more excited about it. We've got some serious fur growing to do first, though. Moma clipped it all off a few weeks ago. Fergi was itchin' and somehow that meant BOTH of us had to get groomed. Go figure.

So.... who do you think'll get the first snowfall? Let's keep each other informed. OK?

Love to the most beautiful black dog we know. Hey! You know what we finally got through our heads? There's a pretty black doggie girl up our street, and her name is Stella, too!

Love ya bunches,
Jake and Fergi xxoo

I haven't seen snow either, I think I'd just up and die. You northern dogs are much more suited for it!

Tsar loves snow. Last year we didn't get much, but he's hoping for lots of it this year.
