Where I went on my bus ride.

Here I am on the bus! This is the only way to travel, I can tell you that. Windows all around you, even the back door has windows, and you can see everything there is! Sometime I am gonna take a long bus trip, many days away!

The next picture is where we went to. The Dughallmor's mom GUESSED it in a comment to me and she was right, even before I knew it. We are at the Detroit Lakes Animal Hospital .

Then, I got greeted by a nice person named Audrey. My Mom has known her for a long time and she made me feel very special to be there.

Then I got weighted by another person whose name I didn't catch. My Mom knew her from before and likes her very much. I like her too. But my weight is a big (get it?) problem.

Here I am in the room where the Doctor comes to examine you. Just hanging around until someone comes in.

Boom! Here is the Doctor. Her name is Dr. Kristen Anderson and my Mom says she is the best. We both like her very much. She checked me over pretty good and says I am in good health Xcept for my weight! She saids the diet food from the other store isn't going to do it so I got a perscription food to eat. I get so much in the morning and less at night. So I am giving it a try.
My Mom says she is mostly to blame because I don't get enough exercise!
They also put a needle in my foot, and sucked blood out of me. That is to tell if there is any heartworms in me. Oh yuck, I hope not. However, I didn't yelp or fuss about that at all. I was very good.
I was mostly pretty good, but sometimes when I see people I don't know, I just want to bark at them a little. Thats when Mom wishes Cesar Millan lived closer.
We are having trouble getting the pictures to go in the right place. So now I say bye.
Kisses,
Stella

Be careful our she'll put you on the green bean diet. My momma put me on that one because somehow, I gained the weight that the boy lost!

But great to hear that the rest of the visit went well.

Hi Stella
Looks like you had a fine time on the bus - where was the crate??
I had wondered if the bus might be going to animal hospital, and I am so relieved that you're not suffering from anything really nasty. Too bad about the food restrictions. Is there any chance you could get more exercise (more fun than eating less)? When Gail is v. busy she gets the neighbours' kids to take me for a walk, and they like the chance to earn extra pocket money, But perhaps that's not possible where you live. Gail tells me the in America the roads often don't have what you call sidewalks, so sometimes it's not so easy to go for a walk. Also, I know its VERY cold in winter. Anyway, I hope the new food tastes nice. You are lucky to have a Mom that is trying to help you.
Cheers, H.

WOW!!

You get to ride a bus to go to the vet!! You are soooo lucky!

I have to ride with silly Lucie next to me. We both have to wear our seat belts and she ALWAYS get sick. AND the vet is only 10 minutes away.

Glad you are real healthy!

Weight is soooo hard to lose. We know this new food is going to do the trick for you!

Hang in their Stella!

Hey there Stella

Those extra pounds....ALL THE MORE TO LOVE! But I know how you feel. I too went on a strict eating programme. The good news - I lost it all. Us doggies love our nibbles! Good luck with the eating programme. It's really difficult, but you will feel wonderful in the end.

(We are really worried about those heartworms?? ARe you ok?)

Well, that's not such a bad day Stella. At least you got to go for a cool ride on the bus! I don't like buses - I huff at them when I see them.

I'm glad everything went okay at the vet. It's too bad that you have to be on a diet, but maybe you'll get more walks now and that's never a bad thing!

Sometimes dogs need to bark because that is the only way we get to talk. We tell our mom that all the time when we are fence-fighting with the neighbor dog!

Well the bus ride sounds super fantastic with all the windows but the VET part is sort of bad. Sounds like your vet is very nice though, so that helps!

you had a great day but not to Nova Scotia this time huh? we thought you behaved yourself very good--and you certainly don't want Ceasar Milan with his nasty methods getting near you! and there is nothing wrong with being a little pleasingly plump, afterall, Marilyn Munroe was a size 14 hehehehe!!!!

Hello there Stella!

Yeah well, we get harped about our weight all the time! Apparently being 'fixed' makes our metabolic rate slows down ... even if we eat like a bird! Well, not really but we do think we try ... hehehe. The Chief tries to get us to run about but really its much too hot! And we get tired too quickly!

We hope the new foodables help out! It is hard to lose weight, but maybe with nicer weather comes more walkies!

Tanks for the suggestion about pumpkin. We are trying it, and so far, we really like the taste! Oh--and mommee says that it is helping our poopies a little bit.

You did a great job of handling the indignity of it all - being poked and prodded is never fun. Am I correct to assume that RD food is in your future? Truffles is spending the summer on it.
