Reflections!

Hi Pups and Kitties: Here is an old picture of me when I first came here.
I got serious stuff to talk about today and here is a comment that started it:
From my dear friend Hamish who said "Oh Stella, I love you just as you are. Please stay true to your own sweet nature. Cheers, Hamish"
I have been thinking about being a Sibe, but sorry guys, I just can't do it, I like being the way I am too much. I admire you Sibes, but I like getting along with my Mom and being the way I am so, so much for changing my ways! I think you will understand.

Then I got a comment from my good friend Chester, who was complaining that his parents would not take him to a party. I told him to use the computer and order in. This is what he sent back to me " Hey, Stella! I just got your tip on ordering pizza and wubbas while the two leggers go to their party. Thanks for the great advice. I think I will get a pizza with everything on it and some more Kongs, and some more treats. Do you need anything? This is gonna be a great night! Thanks again, Chester" Now I am a little worried that Chester may have got into some bad trouble with his family. If I did that, I know I would be in trouble. I only told him this to make him feel better about being alone. I didn't think he would actually DO it. So here is where I say, Sorry, Chester, that wasn't such a good thing to tell you and next time I will be more careful with my advice!

Then the next thing is that my Mom spent much of the weekend in a clean up mode and I said so on the blog. Then The OP Pack commented and said this " Our Mom says there is lots to be cleaned out here, so if your Mom enjoys that sort of work, send her down or better still, come along with her and we can do zoomies in the yard while she works. Happy Sunday, The OP Pack." First of all, my Mom hates this kind of work which is why she is in the mess she is in, and while she would love to come and visit you (and I would love to zoomies with you) she said it would be a cold day in aitch eee double toothpicks (I don't get that, is it rood?)
before she would come and clean your house! So, so much for that.

I hope you all had good weekends. Lets just say, I had a thoughtful one, and I'm glad I am back to being me. Thanks, Hamish, you are the best!

Kisses,
Stella

Sibes aren't bad just challenging and independent.

Wanting to be helpful and making your mom happy are good things. We do it all the time. But we have been known to "borrow" momma's credit card and order ourselves some things. As long as we don't spend too much, she doesn't notice.

p.s. I just saw Momma and Dad e-mailing each other to plan our next big adventure. We get to go to an art fair on Friday!!!

No, Khyra, I am not saying Sibes are bad. But you seem to take pleasure in being very independent. You are just who you are and I thought it would be fun to be that way. But it isn't me, so it wasn't fun. I love all you Sibes, otherwise I wouldn't have wanted to be like you.

Kisses,

Stella

Stella -

We love you just the way you are, so that is great, so no need to change at all.

But we are thinking that if you feel bad about giving Chester advice that might have gotten him into trouble, we are fairly sure you do not have the "Sibe" attribute. You see, we not only do bad things (we LOVE Eva's description of "challenging and independent"), we really don't care that they are bad. That is the fun of being a Sibe!

Off to cause mayhem, our word of the day!

OK, Stella, we understand. Actually the Momster spent the afternoon cleaning out her closet when she could have been snuggling with us. When we read her what your Mom said, she said it would be OK if you both just came anyway. The moms could share some tea or coffee or whatever and we can still do zoomies!!!

Woos, the OP Pack

This is all great reading! How about putting a spin on your advice to Chester: maybe you can suggest to him that he ask his mom to use her credit card to purchase something nice for you!!! Hope you have a nice evening!

I glad you back to being you. Sibes be good and all, but they seem to like not looking at the camera and I would miss your beautiful face. I has just remembered I need to get Mum to reply to your Mom's email! She so bad at checking my account.

You definitely have to be careful what you say when you have lots of dogs looking up to you. I think Chester will be ok though.

Stella, I think you gave me a terrific piece of advice--to take the half-crazed Border Collie and the Delusional Newfie on a long walk in the woods and LOSE them!!!

I must admit, though, you look an awfully LOT like the half-crazed Border Collie I live with...you wouldn't be her long lost sister or anything, would you? (She was found as a pup by the side of a gravel road way out in the country...about an hour from Kansas City, Missouri about three years ago.)

I'm sure the resemblance is only physical...I mean you sound very sane yourself...not like you have a Napoleonic complex or anything like the Border Collie that lives with me!...

Stella, I am SO SORRY you are related to Rivendell. You are the first relative we have ever known about (other than the brother she was found with--who, by all accounts, grew into a respectable cattle-herding, hard-working, farm dog). I am so glad that streak of psychosis which taints Rivie did not affect you. I am sorry though, that you bear the stigma of being related to a dog like Rivie!
