Worst trouble I ever was in!

OK, this is what happened. Ali Z was laying on the blanket you see there, and my Mom was gonna take some pictures of us getting along nice, and just then, Ali Z got up as if to leave and I sort of put my arm on her and then maybe I put my mouth on her head just a little bit. She screamed and ran off upstairs, my Mom yelled at me and said some really mean things about dumb things to do to Ali Z. Now I am laying around and feeling bad about what happened and Mom says Ali Z will probably take another 4 months to come downstairs again. She will probably never post again, and if she does it will be Cat swere words about me. I don't think I hurt her, I didn't mean to, I just didn't want her to go and for us to get a nice picture. Is that too much to ask for??? She can be so stupid!

So thats what happened tonight and my Mom is still mad at me, but it was Ali Z's fault for taking off when I wanted her to stay. I was just trying to help, thats all.

I'm going to bed. Trying to get that cat to behave two days in a row is just too much to ask for. So, sorry, Mom, but it wasn't MY fault not one bit!

Kisses,
Stella

Stella,
Please tell your mom that you are making good progress. As long as Ali has safe places to retreat to, things will work out. I'm sure that your mom feels bad about yelling at you. Our Momma yells at Brice for doing stupid stuff but she's only yelled at me once. I think that is because I got so stressed that I horka'd.

Has Ali met any other dogs? Our Taz (who never knew any dogs)took many many many months to even be in the same room as Tasha. Angel only took a few weeks. But she had claws and she only had to use them once cuz Tasha learned her lesson quickly.

Tell your Mom and Ali that you're sorry that you put Ali's head in your mouth and that you'll try harder.

Stella, consider yourself very lucky. When I tried a similar stunt with a neighbour's cat, she struck right back, scratched me on the nose and made me bleed. I was the one who had to run away upstairs! I've stayed away from cats since then.

Be warned!

Oh no Stella! Did the silly cat put her head in your mouth?? Heehee, tis but a minor setback, she'll be back...even cats are clever enough to know when they're onto a good thing, temperamental souls that they are!

Cats are always troublemakers! When we try to be very nice to them, they get all angry & then hurt us instead. I know you weren't thinking about hurting were you? I hope you two get along some day.

Cats can be so growly. They never want to play. I just stay away from all cats. They don't smell as good as us dogs anyway.

Cats is too sensitive! You needs some rabbit-dogs, they doesn't care at all, apart from sometimes when they will box me.

I sure Ali-Z will forget about it in no time, I bet it was scary for your mum thinking you was gonna bite her head off BOL! You is lucky you didn't get scratched but cats is far too curious to stay away longs.

If it makes you feel any better Meeka's in trouble too. He got snarky with Dad when Dad was trying to brush him. Something about teeth on a wrist. Woooo! They're buddies again though.

I think everypup has had some great advice for you. I especially echo what Eva said. Besides, it's not like you sat down and said, 'Hmm. How can I get Mom mad today?" I mean... you didn't, did you? Of course not! You just acted on instincts. It'll work out with time.

Poor Ali Z! I hope she gets over this soon. Really Stella, you just have to learn to be gentle with her. She's a lot smaller than you and doesn't have her defensive weapons any more. I hope she comes downstairs soon.

You know what they say: Dogs will come when you call them. Cats tell you take a number and wait....
You just hang in there and Mom will get over it!

If you have to give up the battle for peace, Nigel has a pretty good catloaf recipe he'd be happy to share...

From Stella's Mom to Life with Dogs;

All I can say to you is I hope that Huffle Mawson doesn't see this post. He has an army of Siberian Huskys at his disposal and I bet they would know where you live, Nigel.

Good luck,

Stella and Ali's Mom
