All I Do . . .

These are very boring days here in Upper Minniesnowda. Cold and icy, no good for walks. My mom got me a new squeaker toy, she says its a tiger so be careful! Haw!
We watched the Westminster Dog show and I felt sorry for those pudle dogs with the fancy hairdos, makes me sad to think they can't go running around or tear through a mud puddle if they want to. But maybe they are the kind who wouldn't want to. Who knows. The old guy that won Best of Show was alright, wasn't he. A 10 year old geezer dog that just plooped along. I bet all those young guys who were in the running felt jealous of him. I thought the huge Scottish Deer Hound was really something. Looked like a Horse! My mom liked the little Scottie to win, but no luck for her.
Then there is MangoMinster which I guess is still going on. I didn't even place in the herding group, but thats a dogs life, right? Mango is doing a great job with that show, isn't he?

My Mom is trying to teach me the kommand LEAVE IT! She watches Victoria and the Whisperer on TV and thinks that while she is not big on being a kommander, Leave It, would be very good for me to know. Since I am mostly a good dog and don't get into a lot of stuff, I think that this mostly has to do with . . .ALI Z! So when I get interested in what Ali Z is doing, my Mom thinks she could just say LEAVE IT and I would lose interested in the Cat. Haw! We will see about that. I am not one of those dogs who would stand on my head for a treat, so I can take it or leave it.

Our Town is having a POLAR Fest this weekend, where people can jump into a hole in the lake and submerge themselves in ice water. The proceeds go to a good organization The Boys and Girls Club which I would give my last dollar to just to not have to jump into the frigid lake. What about you? Would you do it? Yeah, I thought so. Dogs ARE smarter than peoples.

Happy Thursday to ya,

Kisses,
Stella

Good luck learning leave it Stella. I think leave it is really scaryif I is told it in the big scary voice. We likes Victoria better than that dog whisperer person.

Don't worry, soon it will warm up and you can take your mom on lots of walks.

Your mom was nice to get you a tiger squeaky.

"Leave it" is a good thing to know. Well, I don't know it cuz momma says that I don't pick things up so there is no opportunity to teach me to leave it. But the boy gets told "leave it" all the time. But he doesn't always listen. Sometimes when he won't leave me alone she even has to spray me with Bitter Apple since he doesn't like the taste.

Princess Eva

I would not be jumping in any water in your town either. That's just silly.

Hi to Ali Z!

Happy Thursday to you too Stella! What a very newsy post that was :D
We think Rosie might jump into that icy water, she really does love water that much! Not us though, not for a field full of bunnies! Mango has done a great job with Mango-Minster...don't worry, we didn't get placed either...we voted for you though! Hope you get out for a walkie soon :D

Oh yes, do be careful on that ice - no walkies here when there is ice on the ground.

Leave it - yep, we all know it, but only do it when we are ready to.

Oh Sis, I'm sorry you didn't place! I felt a little biased so I had help from multiple sources and polled the results... You're a winner in my book though!

Licks,
Kylie

(PS, if you won I thought there might be conspiracy theories!)

I voted for you, Sweet Stella. Of course!

I like your new tiger, that's a pretty good toy.

The Girl would like to let your Mom know that she should try teaching Leave It on something less exciting than Ali Z! She had to work up to the cats when we were learning about Leave It, and I'm still not the best doggy about it. I rush their scratching post, but I do come away when called. I think this is called compromise; she gets what she wants, I get a little of what I want. Girlie doesn't see it that way, she calls me a defiant little booger. But she says it with love, bol!

It's a really good thing to know, that Leave It. We use it for lots of things. The Girl really likes Victoria, not so much Cesar Millan.

Enough Girlie, start typing what I WANT TO SAY!

Oh, she says that I have to wrap it up because our liver jerky is almost ready! WRoo!!! If it works out, I'll try to send you some!

Brown dog kisses,
Dannan

Hi Stella!

I'm with you on the icy water thing. Sometimes I get dunked in a cold stream after a walk in the hills, on the ridiculous pretext that I don't bring mud into the Mini. And it's not like the car's ever clean in the first place...

Cheers, Hamish.

Maybe the judges wanted something different for a change & since Stump looked sooo fantastically good even with that old age, they decided to let him win. I mean why not? I think he looked great & I love his fur. I think it's about time that big dogs win! No more small dogs! Good luck in learning your new command, If you need any help, Amber-Mae is always here!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Humans are nutso to jump in that cold water! We kinda feel bad for all those show dogs too, it doesn't look like much fun at all.
