A Giveaway!

Hi there Pups and Kitties:
If anyone has a new terrier, or even an old one, this book has some basic information about all the major terriers. It is not recent, dating back to 1989, but terriers stay the same pretty much, don't they?
We are giving it away to anyone that wants it, a youngster might enjoy it that likes different dogs. Lots of color pics and drawings.
Just send an e-mail to me, Stella, at
letoile@arvig.net and we will send it off to you. Just USA or APO please where we can send media mail.
We checked overseas mailing and it would cost about twice what the book is worth.
My Mom has been cleaning out boxes of stuff and is just growling better than any dog I ever knew. She has a huge pile of trash and keeps adding to it. So thats whats going on here today.
Kisses,
Stella

Friday RoundUp

Good morning Pups and Kitties!

My Mom asked me to smile but instead I gave her a dirty look. I learned this from the Sibes who don't like to look at the flashy beast either. I'm learning a lot from the Sibes, they just do what they wanna do and don't care who gets mad at them. Thats what I want to be too. So here I go.

This other picture is of Ali Z, America's Sweetheart, and she loves to sit in the windows and look out, even at night when its darktime. So this picture is of her sitting in the window behind my Mom's computer, and you see Khyra there too, that Sibe pup who is so cool. She is always smiling though, whats the deal?
We found some new to us bloggers that you might like to visit. Maybe you are old friends of them but they are new to us.
*Hoover, the Battery Powered Dog
The Life and Adventures of Hoover, the Rescue Dog with a Pacemaker
Hoover lives in New York
*A Wiener Dog Blog
Twix is a tweenie red Dachshund who is 9 years old and says she is very spoiled (aw, I can't believe that!)
Twix lives in Missouri
*Loving for a Living
featuring Scout and Freyja
Scout and Freyja live in Michigan
You all have a happy weekend and I will be doing what I please, maybe chase Ali Z around.
Kisses,

Just a Pair of Pics

Hi Pups and Kitties!

We are having another Rainy
Day today, and Ali Z refused
the blog, so what to do? Pictures, of course.

Here is the first little bloom on our Hardy Geranium. We learned it is also called a cranesbill, and they come in lots of pretty variations. Its a
perennial.

Then next you see the crabapple tree in full blossom.
My Mom cut off the top with
the camera, and the blossoms
are very short lived. Then you see
them all over the grass!

We also have an apple tree that will be in full bloom too
and it smells very fine. The bees love it too.

So, no news is good news as they say!

Kisses,
Stella and that Crabby Cat

Memorial Day

In our small town, there is a large cemetery that sits on a bit of a hill, and our local Veterans of Foreign Wars along with the American Legion, have hung the burial flags of veterans on Memorial Day. There are some 737 flags hanging there today and because they are on a hill, there is often a little wind blowing them about. It is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen and always brings me to tears. When I multiply our small town's 737 by countless thousands of other small towns, I can only begin to realize the number of people who have given their lives so that we can have freedom. Let us honor them in our hearts and our minds, not just today, but everyday. Let us do what we can to make life better for those returning wounded.

Wordful Wednesday!

Hi all you Pups and Kitties:

We usually like wordless Wednesday but today we got some things to say and show you.

This is me, enjoying the outdoors. My Mom is hot for me to smile in my pics (she even put one on my header) so I gotta give her a big smile every time. But that is easy to do with my Mom.

Huffle asked me why Ali Z had to see her lawyer. We don't know, Huffle, and she will not tell us. You have been a great defender of Ali Z but we want you to understand, she is a little mentally defective. She used to go to a Catherapist but we don't think she does anymore and it doesn't seem to help her anyway. My Mom loves her and gives her everything she needs, and sometimes Ali Z is good and other times its just her way or no way. We are her third home, maybe that is part of it. I don't chase her anymore either. So if you have some suggestions for fixing her brain, please let us know. She refused to let my Mom take a picture of her this morning.
Up by my picture is some Sweet Woodruff we grow along side our house. It smells so wonderful and the flowers are so cute on it. It is the important ingredient used in May Wine. Where you dry out some leaves and then put it in with an inexpensive Rhine or German white wine, you can add strawberries and such. A nice way to welcome Spring! (Just for the humans, please, no pups should drink it!)
Have a nice day, its sposed to get to 80 degrees here today. Just what we wanted!
Kisses,
Stella

Mystery Solved!

Hi there Pups and Kitties!
Today is Tuesday and Ali Z's day but she has an appointment with her lawyer, so I am filling in.
The mystery of the package of toys and treetz is solved!
Both Khyra and Ludo got the same package that I got, Ludo thought he knew, and Khyra was pretty sure of it! So Khyra
(who is a very smart girl) wrote to who she thought it was from and she was right! And then pretty soon in my comments about the mystery this came:
<<Dughallmor Beagles said...
Hey Stella! We know who sent you that stuff....it was us! It was a small thank you for hosting Rambo the Rabbit all those weeks ago....and the stoopid hooman forgot to put cards in the parcels....she also thinks one of them went without treats as we had a spare bag left over....oops!Hope you enjoy the goodies and thanks again!Slobbers xx
May 18, 2009 9:02 PM>>
Those Dughallmor's are all sweet guys and both Mom and I forgot about Rambo the Rabbit being on our blog! But you know what? I think Snoop probably snagged the extra bag of treetz!
So a big thank you to the Dughallmors who are all kind and generous! It was kind of fun trying to figure this out, you know.
Kisses,
Stella

Monday surprise!

I had a big surprise in the mail today! I got a package from Royal Mail and sent by airmail. Whoo, this is important stuff from across the pond, I think. The Customs declaration said it was Dog Toys and it was mailed on May 5, 2009! The sender's signature was not readable by either me or my Mom and no note inside. It contained a cute little white ducky with orange bill and feets, a yellow rope toy, and a whole bag of
treetz! Whoooo! This is so nice. Here I am talking to the ducky, trying to find out who sent him to me so I can give a big THANK YOU! He is not talking, however.
So whoever sended me this package, should 'fess up and tell me. Now, neither me or my Mom is good at remembering things, and we don't win any contest or anything (except at Huffle's and we get Happy Hearts cookies for that!)
so remind us please why you have sent me this nice bag of pressies! Then we can give you a proper Thank You!

See these neat toys? I already played with the ducky who has a rattler if you shake it up.
Solve the Monday Mystery, please and let us know who to thank!
Kisses,
Stella

I'm Getting Something Special!

My Mom thinks that I would do well with a backpack to wear when we go walking. I could help carry some books from the library or a few little grocery things when we go to the store. Soooo, today she ordered this for me . Isn't it cool? We don't go for miles and miles like some of you guys do, so I wouldn't be wearing it for a long time each trip. Just some short library/store walks, but I think I would feel sort of important to help my Mom carry stuff. We donate books we have read to our library and I could take them up there! All those girls who work there would just love me for it!
Its a nice sunny day today but its chilly out, in the 50s this morning. Now none of us , Mom, me or Ali Z, like for it to be real hot, but we would like some 70s, short sleeve weather at least.
My Mom is going through books today, and we just don't have enough room for them all, so we have to sort them out, with keepers and givers, and it takes some time.
We should be working outside!
I hope you all have a very nice Sunday, wherever you are!
Kisses,
Stella

Picking out toys

Yesterday my Mom got me a new bone to chew on and I have this one in my mouth a lot of the time but never when she wants to flashie me with it!
We had a bad thunderstorm last evening and I got bad scared of it. I hate that big noise and so I have to just follow my Mom around the house because I don't want to be by myself when it BOOMS! She calls me her velcro dog when I do this, and she tells me not to be afraid, but I just can't help it.
Ali Z isn't scared a bit and just flounces around like usual but maybe she is too dumb to know that the BOOMs might hurt you.
Do any of you guys get scared of the storms? I know Joe Stains does and he is a brave guy so he would Know if it is something to be scared of.
My Mom says there might be more coming today, its all cloudy and cool out, but ohhh! I hope NOT!
Be careful if one comes to you!
Kisses,
Stella

Ali Zophia Speaks!

Hi All you Kitties and Pups!

My Mom took a new picture of me today, but she couldn't get it to down load on her program or something like that so here is an old one of me on the steps.

The new picture was me eating yogurt with my Mom at breakfast time. She shares some of hers with me, after she is done. It is very good, and I can tell even when I am in another room that she is eating it and I come running! My favorite is blueberry. It is sooo yummy! She says I am kind of a pest about it, but then she laughs, so I don't care. Stella does Not get any at all, which is too bad for her, right?

This is late for me to be writing but my Mom was gone all morning, and then this afternoon her girlfriend wanted to know if she would go to Wally World with her. My Mom said yes! because she got a nice money card from the boy and his girl for Mum's Day, and she could spend some mad money. I get mad a lot but don't know about mad money. . .do you? So when she came home she said she bought us some peach yogurt and that I would like that. Stella got another toy. She gets them all the time. She is so spoiled. Last night she came after me, and Mom scolded her and she goes over and gets all sweetie with Mom. Lot of good that did.

So thats all from me today. It has been rainy and cold here, so I am glad I am an indoor cat on days like today. I hope you had a nice day today.

Meow, meow,

Ali Zophia

Guess Who is Back?

Hi all you Pups and Kitties! We are back today just like we said we would be! We fooled you though, you thought we was going on a vacashun, but we just stayed at home all the time.

Me and my Mom had a lot of spring work to do, so we just wanted to do it without having to think about writing things, or telling you about pulling weeds and boring stuffs like that. And we did get a lots done, but still more left to do.

When my Mom was a little girl, her Dad was a plumber and people would call him at home on the weekends, and he would tell my Mom to tell the peoples that he had gone to Nova Scotia. My Mom didn't know better so she would say that, and they always knew! So as a grownup, if she was gonna take a day off or whatever, she would just say she was going to Nova Scotia. We told the 'sploring Wolfies about this and they thought it was funny. So next time we take a few days off, we will just tell you:

WE ARE GOING TO NOVA SCOTIA!

Time to catch up with everybody!

Kisses,
Stella

Sunday, Sunday!

Hi Evfurry Body! Today was a nice day so my Mom and I went for walkies. I took her by Gretchen's so I could see all the little kids who live there. There are about seventy leven of them and they are almost all the same size. Guess what! No kids! My Mom says they are never there on the weakends and where do they go? She says they go with their families. Now I don't get it, they are cute little kids and only on the weakends they go home? Mom says No! Gretchen runs a daycare, when the pawrents go to work, all those little tykes go to the Daycare and go home at night. Whatta deal, we should do that and have all those little troopers around every day. Wouldn't that be fun? Why are you groaning, Mom?

Here is the story of Braveheart, my Mom's favorite plant. Her Aunty gave her this 18 years ago when she moved into this house and its right name is
a Bleeding Heart. She says it lives through the terrible winter, 25-40 below
zero and is the first thing to come up in the spring. But my Mom worries about it because it is so old, and wonders every spring if its going to come back. Well, here it is, so its coming and it will be pretty once we rake all the
mulch away! It used to get
so many flowers and was so beautiful people would stop and ask how she made it be so pretty. She says she told them the only thing she knew of was a little bone meal and Otis, the old Scottie guy who is gone now, used to pee on it every time they would go for a walkies! I don't think I would do that. . .

We saw four baby falcons today when the Mom got up and went someplace, she was only gone a minute, but those little white fluffy guys were all huddled together keeping warm. So cute! Go check out Khyra's Blog for the address to find these guys.

The Pointer Pandemonium guys are having a Naughty Dog contest. See who is the worstest of all you naughty pups. No, I will not be joining this one, I am a very good girl. I bet Dennis the Visla wins hands down! But thats just a guess, I don't know who could win.

I am wishing you all a happy week, and good weather, and lots of fun.

Kisses,
Stella

Breaking news from Washington, D(og) C(ity)
Senators Mack T. Beans (D(og) - Texas) and Beckett Wilson-Brador (D(og) - Alabama) are seeking co-sponsors for Senate Bill K9: Equal Rights Amendment for Dogs."Today, we are pleased to introduce the Equal Rights Amendment for Dogs, or the 'Stella Act'" said Senator Beans, speaking from the steps of the Capawtol. "Too long have we dogs been treated as second class citizens. When one of my constituents came to me with a heartbreaking tale of being excluded from restaurants, movies, and even weddings, I knew it was time to act.""With the Stella Act," added Senator Wilson-Brador, "we dogs will finally have equal rights, fairness, and equal opportunity! Although we are both Dogocrats, we truly believe this bill will have bipartisan appeal, and we look forward to working with our colleagues in the Repuglican party."White House press secretary Bo Obama was unavailable for comment, but unnamed staffers indicated that both President Tadpole Pomegranate and V-P Joseph Stains had expressed their support for the bill.

I am very thrilled to have this bill named for ME and proud of Beckett and Mack for doing all the work on it. Think how very important this will be to all of us, so send it on to everyone you know and ask them to express support for it!
