Good morning, efurry body! When we got up this morning it was 25 below zero F. I even went outside in it but boy, its way too cold for me. I just went right back to bed and I will stay there until it gets to be zero OR above!

We will celebrate the New Year tonight by staying in where its warm and maybe watching some movies or TV. No big deal. But me and my Mom want to wish everyone the Happiest of New Years!

Its been fun getting to know lots of you DWB guys and I am looking forward to meeting more and having more fun in 2009.(as soon as it warms up a little!)

Kisses and hugs,

Stella (and Mom)

Tuesday Snow Day

My new old toys, I love the red debbil! She squeakified him and the pig! Ali Z. my Mom's Slinky Cat!

Because nothing else is happening, today I am going to talk about the Cat. Her name is Ali Z. and the day I moved in, she moved upstairs and won't come down when I am anywhere within her sniffs, becuz I like to chase her. So whats so wrong with that? Fun for me and fun for her. But she doesn't see it that way. My Mom takes care of her and visits her on the steps, she calls her my Slinky Cat because of the way she comes down the stairs. When my Mom adoptinated this cat, she was told the cat had been raised with a dog, so she thought she would be OK when I came. But no, she moved upstairs. My Mom says I am too praydriben and that is why I want to chase her. That means I like to have fun chasing cats, simple as that.

Everybody told us to just leave her alone and she would come down, but she just comes down to eat in her diningroom when the gate is UP. So far its months and she don't show any sign of changing things. I think she likes her own space and her meals in a convenient place. Cats are demanding and rood. I don't know why my Mom even keeps her, but she seems to LIKE her. I dunno. If you have any ideas, just let me hear from you!
Kisses,
Stella

Sunday Walkies!

We went for a nice walkies today and I
had a chance to climb a snow mountain in a parking lot! Looks more like the North Pole, doesn't it!

Then its fun to go under the trees and bushes to see what you can smell under there.
We also went to the PeeOh and mailed a letter for my Mom. So thats all we did today. Oh, yesterday my Mom went to a second hand store and got me three new stuffees and she put squeakers in them too. I just love my Mom.
Kisses,
Stella

New Stuffees!

I promised you a picture of my new stuffees and here it is! I got a poler bear, a reindeer, a little pup, and a Wishbone pup. Aren't they just the best?
Sometimes, if the stuffee is big enough, my Mom does an operashun on it and puts in a squeaker! She knows I just love that! She says she is sorry for the two dark pitchers, thats the way it goes sometimes.
Guess what? Thats right, its snowin' again!
Kisses,
Stella

The Day After!

We had a fun time and my biped brother and sister-in-law came to visit.

Tell me, do I look like a Scoddie to you? The reason I ask is that my Mom got a calendar for Christmas with Scoddies on it. 12 big pictures of just Scoddies. Then she got a tin of licorish candies shaped like, you guessed it, Scoddies! I think I will talk to my brother and tell him to find some labador things, or maybe even border collie things, any thing would be better than having Scoddies around every where I look! My Mom said Thank you and this is darling and all that, but I am sure she didn't mean it.
Do you think she did and achewly likes those dogs??
I will show you my new toys tomorrow.
Kisses,
Stella

Christmas Eve

He's comin'! Yes, he is. With all kinds of goodies and fun treats.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !

HAVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPERUS NEW YEAR!

Kisses,

Stella (and her Mom)

Treatz!

All of us pups know we love to have treats, don't we? Here is where my Mom keeps my treats.

Its like a little tin house, but the other day, we ran out! What could be worse than that? So she put the leash on me and we went to the Dog Food Store and she bought me PEANUT BUTTER BISCUITS! Have any of you guys ever tasted peanut butter? Wooaw! The best thing I have ever tasted. They are shaped like Peanuts and they are very hard. I could get a whole big box of these for Christmas and it would suit me fine. I hope Santa knows where the dog food store is, because we don't wanna run out again!

Happy Holidays, with Kisses from Stella

Walking in the Winter Wonderland

So here is a nice picture of today! Another three inches of snow, another full driveway and the only thing you can't see in the picture is the bazillion snowflakes falling. But we have sort of made peace with it now. Sure its pretty! Sure its deep! But we went walking in it yesterday! Maybe today too! Tra, la, la, walkin' in the winter wunterland. My mom was actchewly singing that yesterday! By the way, we are sposed to get 3 inches today and more tonight.

But this good thing happened. My Mom was looking in her closet and she found a fake squirrel toy. She said it was a han puppit. But she gived it to me and its very, very fun to play with, no squeaker but I pertend its REAL and shake it up! She said maybe she could put a squeaker in it. How good would that be! Whoooo!
So thats it for today! Good winter wishes to all of you!
Kisses,
Stella

Today is Better!

Thank you all for yesterday's offer of rescue from the Deep Snow. Its great to know all of you furiends are out there! We got our driveway plowed out and can go walking again and we didn't get as much snow as they promised so that was a real blessing!

So if all you Sibes and Mals have not started out on your rescue trip, you don't have to come. But if you have, and I get 17 or 11 dogs at my door, we will have a huge welcome party, with cookies, cakes, and some chiken meat, maybe some spaghetti and meat sauce. You can stay and rest up for a day or so before you have to start home for Christmas.

Thanks again, I guess I was pretty silly about the snow, but you know, it just upsetted me.

Kisses,
Stella

MORE SNOW SATURDAY!

We are stuck in the snow! We can't get out! Send help! Some Sibes and Mals on a sled would be good.

This is me, in shock, looking out our door into deep snow! Just last weekend we got 11 inches of it and this weekend we are getting another 9 or 10 inches. I wanted snow so much but NOT THIS MUCH ALL AT ONCE! It is too deep to walk in and its almost impossible for me to go in the backyard!
When it interferes with a girl's personal hijean, that is too much! Oh well, I guess a nap would be alright. I hope all the rest of you guys are in better shape than we are!
Kisses,
Stella
Peeess: I know I wanted snow bad, and just prayed to Heaven for it, so you don't nead to remind me of THAT. I should have said how MUCH I wanted!

Christmas Stuff!

We aren't going to report today because we are busy doing Christmas stuff. Last minute cards, a trip to the Peeoh to mail a package, some cookies to bake. Maybe you would like a good rollout cookie recipe, would you? Its pretty long! Its a Chai Spice Cookie that you roll out for shapes, like stars and Santa and stuff.
Here it is:

Chai Spice Cutouts Recipe

36 cookies

* 3 cups all-purpose flour

* 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

* 2 chai tea bags emptied

* 1 1/2 cups butter

* 1 cup sugar

2 T molasses

* 1/4 teaspoon salt

* 2 large egg yolks

2 tsp. vanilla extract)

1. In a large bowl, sift or whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, and tea; set aside.

2. Combine butter, sugar and salt in large bowl. Using an electric mixer or wooden spoon, beat until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks, one at a time, and beat until smooth..Add vanilla . Add in flour-spice mixture, 1 cup at a time, blending until fully incorporated.

3. Divide the dough in half; wrap in plastic. Refrigerate at least one hour or until firm.

4. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper (or grease sheets). Remove and unwrap 1/2 the dough on a lightly-floured surface. Roll out to 1/4-inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and transfer to prepared baking sheets. Roll out scraps and repeat with remaining dough, re-chilling as necessary.

5. Sprinkle with decorative colored sugar if desired; bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes.

Frost with 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, two tablespoons, milk, ½ teaspoon vanilla. Add milk by the spoonful to get the right consistency to frost.

7. Store in airtight container for up to one week. (like they will last that long!)

All I got for now!

Kisses,

Stella

A Furry Good Toy!

Do you remember yesterday when I got the new Sheep Toy? It looks like this and it GRUNTS! At first we had a hard time to get it to grunt, so my Mom made a little hole in the seam and took the Grunter out. She thinks it was just in the wrong place and moved it a little to the side and now it works good. She also added a SQUEAKER, so it has two noises in it, then she sewed it back up tight! It is the very most fun toy and makes TWO noises, did I mention that? I just love it and I wish every one of you guys would get one for Christmas.

Thanks for this present, Mrs. D., I loves it!

Kisses,

Stella

12.16.2008

This is going to be a short note today because my Mom and I are furry, furry busy doing works.
Mostly it has to do with snow that is in the wrong place and needs to be moved elsewhere. We are both good at this!

But a very happy thing happened today, my Mom got a box in the mail from her friend, and in it was a present for me. I also got a Christmas card from my friend Khyra and it is a furry nice card with some views of Khyra on it. She is so beawootiful! Thanks, my friend!

Here is a view of me and my present: Its a sheep that GRUNTS! We are having trouble making the noise but my Mom says we can fix it up good. I am such a lucky girl!

Stella

Sun Dogs!

Mom stepped off the porch,up to her knees! Its 15 below zero out, she put her longies on and got the little shovel and put it to work.

She did not shovel the car out, though, it can stay until spring if it wants to.

But here is the best thing she said she saw: Sundogs! Rainbow like phenomena on either side of the sun when it gets sub-zero. She said her mother loved them, and so does she.

Maybe you want to know where I am. I am in the house keeping warm because my feet get too freezie. All you Sibes and Mals are gonna call me a sissy, but thats OK with me. When a doggie's feet hurt, nothing to do but lay down where its warm.

That was a big storm we had and me and mom are glad its over. Did anybody else get it?

By the way, here is some learning about sun dogs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_dog

Gratitude/Attitude Award!

Here is a Sunday extra!

The Dughallmor Beagles who live with their family in Northeast Scotland (four beagles, a cat, and several humans) have given me this award. So I want to thank them very much, its a very kind thing to do and its fun to display it on my blog. Its a Lemonade Stand and I guess it means when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Any dog who has spent time in the slammer knows about this! So, thanks Beagles. If you haven't visited their blog, you really ought to do so. They live in beautiful Scotland near the sea and take wonderful walks, and photos of the interesting things they see. (seals! ships! other dogs! scenic views!) and you will find them at http://dughallmorebeagles.blogspot.com/ Go visit, you won't be sorry you did!

By the way, I am supposed to nominate 8 other blogs for this award, and I will work on this and do it another day!

Kisses,
Stella

Sunday Snowday!

This is what we saw when we looked out our kitchen door this morning. This is our driveway and the street where we live! If you notice the building in the picture looks whitish, thats the snow coming down.

Its been snowing since midnight Saturday and its looking pretty wicked out there. Its supposed to continue all day today until we have 6 -9 inches of snow! Wooooo! This is what my Mom and I saw when she opened the back door for me this morning. I think I will go back to bed for a while. My Mom's gonna bake coookies!!!!

Wishing everyone a Happy Sunday, and wishing we were visiting Lorenza!

Kisses,

Stella

Walkie Pictures

This is my favorite toy, what my Mom calls Dirty Baby who is always glad to see me!
This is the house of the Packer fanz!!!
This is the view to the courthouse, a church and a bank!

This is one of the big garden dogs. There is a black one that is on the left side you can't see.

We live in a small town, that is about 6 thousin people in the winter and the tourists come in the summer and it doubles in size. We take our walk in the morning or around noon time and hardly never see anybody, maybe a lady powerwalker, and thats about it. It is a quiet place to live after September, and from June to September, loud and rowdy.

Tonight and tomorrow we are expecting a big blizzerd. That means snow and plenty of it! I can't wait!

Mom says these pics aren't good, it was too dark of a day and we will try to get some after the big storm is done.

Kisses,
Stella

Garden Dogs

We took some pictures on our walkies today! This is supposed to be of the Garden Dogs, but you can hardly see them unless you get your magnofier out. Mom took the pics and didn't want to get too close cuz one of the dogs was standing at the fence and his shoulders and big head came over the top! They like to gard things! And MAYBE they don't like fatogofers, right?

I will show you some more pix tomorrow of our route. One very unbelievable one. A picture of a Minnesota House with a Green Bay Packer flag on it! Hard to imagine for us Vikings fans.

Kisses,

Stella

Gettin' Chilly Here!

Look what I have put up on my blog! You now can see the temperature, both Ferrinhite and Selseeus, and the time of day where I live! You in warmer climates will have a good time groaning when it hits 20 or 30 below zero F. here and that day is not so far away!

We forgot to take the camera when we went walkin' today so no garden dogs pics until tomorrow. Yeah, promises, promises!

I'm for a nap, I had the longest walk yet this morning!

Kisses,
Stella

Walkin' and Snoozin'

Lorenza wants to see my new bed Mom made and maybe some of you others do too. She made it to be like Spencer's, a big, big pillow, full of stuffee stuff! Its nice and comfy and here is a pic of me laying on it.

No, not walkin'and snoozin' at the same time, of course. Me and Mom tooked a long walk today. I was kind of crabby because I didn't get no walk yesterday at all and so we went on a even longer walk today. Do you know why?? Because I am getting to be a gooood leash walker, and Mom said everyday I walk so nice as today, she will give me a longer walk. woooooo! So we was out in the snow, having a good time!

We might get even more snow today and tomorrow I will take some outside pics for you. On our walk there are two garden dogs and all they do is take care of their home and family. They don't get to go walkies I don't think, just gard all the time. I might take their picture tomorrow.

Kisses, lots, and now its snooze time!

My World and Welcome to It!

Here I am, looking silly, and wanting to go for walkies! My Mom is doing a nice thing for me, she is making me a bed like Spencers, like a big pillow case stuffed with stuffee filling. She was cutting out the meterial and wrapped this piece around my neck. I don't like that too much.
She said after lunch, we will go walkies, well that could be a long way off. I don't know about stuff like that. I think I will just sit here by the door and wait, but I better go see what she is doing, how far she is with the meterial part of it. Maybe she will be done!

Kisses

Sittin' on the Porch . . .

My Mom likes this picture she says so we'll give it a show. Spencer went home last night with his Dad and seemed happy to go. I think we all like our usual life and when things get changed around for us, it seems good to go back to the usual. My Mom says maybe if I had been a little generouser with toys and stuff he might have been happier but I think he is just an old guy who likes his own home.

My Mom and I tooked a long walk this morning and she been just sayin' that she hopes the snow slows me down a little and it did! It was deeper and it gets between my toes, those little lumpies of it and I have to stop and get it out. She was laughin' at me, and I'm just sayin' "very funny, Mom!"

I hope everyone out there is having a good one. See you!

Kisses,

Stella

Sunday Snowday!

Its snowing' again and its pretty outside. Spencer and I went out to play in it, but he is an old geezer and he won't even do zoomies with me. I think I need a younger boyfriend! When we came in I gived him a toy to play with, and he liked it, but my Mom said no, it had a music box in it and would not be good for a dog that liked to splode his toys. So SHE tooked it away! I think he felt bad but my Mom said I should give him a toy I liked, not a bum toy, but I don't want him splodin' my good toys! I will have to think about this.

Wishing all our pup and kitty friends a nice Sunday with their fambilies!

Kisses,

Stella

Excitement!

Here is a picture of my friend Spencer, isn't he handsome? He is 9 years old and lives out in the country. His Dad Glen went to see his feeonsay this weekend and Spencer got a sleep-over! I just love it when he comes to visit.

A VERY BIG DEAL:

Khrya named today Stella Day on her blog and put up pictures of me and told about me! Such a nice thing to do!

I got lots of visits from new canines and one cat! I love cats but they say I get too excited and scare them away . . .makes me sad. But anyway, I will visit all these new blogs and make some new friends (I have been visiting Lorenza for a long time, she is such a cutie!)

So it will be a busy day today (Stella Day!) and I will be doing lots of typing!

Kisses to Everybody,

Stella (and Spencer who is not really a kisser)

Stella's Toys!

I have been hearing a lot about pups who chew up and splode their toys! When they do that, they don't got anymore toys . . .doesn't make sense, does it?

I take good care of my stuffees, I play with them, and I love to squeak their squeakers. I don't have lots of them but I love ever one. My favorite is the one my Mom calls Dirty Baby down on the right side under the duck wing. Oh, and I love my new duck too, and Earl the chicken, and Harvey the Orange Rabbit too. I don't think my Mom would buy me any new toys if I just chewed them up.

Spencer my boyfriend is coming to stay this weekend, and I gotta put everything up, because he is another 'sploder. I hate to see stuffee guts on the floor, it makes me feel bad. I bark at Spencer when he chews them, but he don't care.

Take care of your Stuffees!

Stella said so, with Kisses!

My SNOW wish Comes True!

Yes, it did! It covered the ground when I got up this morning and it seems like its more sturdier than the last bunch we had. I think this will stick! No More Mini-soda snow, Khyra!

But here is some news that is not so good and it will be schoking to many of you. My Mom and I took a walk and went to the library to return some DVDs she took out. DO YOU KNOW THAT DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE LIBRARY??!!??! I was lookin' around and then I saw the sign. NO DOGS ALLOWED! All kinds of little bi-peds in there doin' the storytime thing, but no, no pups!

We can't go out to lunch in a restaurant, we can't go into the library, how are we supposed to soshallize and improve our minds? Obama, here we come!

I had a fun time anyway, readin' my peemail and pulling on the leash, getting my Mom a little aggravated. hehehe

Kisses,

Stella

Lookit here!

My Mom went shoppin' today and lookit what she brought me! A duck! It has the bestest
squeaker in it too, it HONKS! Oh man, I love presents. She gaved me this because of the snow and me feeling kind of bad about it. This is just too good! This is a little short because now I am gonna go take a nap with it. See you later.

Kisses,

Stella and the Duck

ITS GONE!

All that good snow in my yard, is just gone, every bit of it. I could just cry! My mom just said, thats the breaks, Stella, I told you it wasn't going to last! No sympathy there, thats for sure.

I am gonna make a pray to the Heavens to send more snow, but this time a much better quality that will not go away in some dinky sunshine. We need sticking snow, a little more deeper snow, snow that knows what its doing!!!

OK? Lets get it!

Always you get Kisses,

Stella

Zoomies in the Snow!

There is not one thing more fun than zoomies in the snow and I am here to tell you! We didn't get very much snow, it must have come in the night when we was sleeping, but when I went out this morning, there was a yardful of it! I hope we get lots more and you do too . . .so much fun!

Here is some sorry news, my Mom just said if the sun stays out most of it will be gone before supper . . .aw, gimme more snow!

Stella sends cold, wet Kisses!
